This church truly feels like family. The leadership is upstanding, thoughtful, and leads with integrity. The community is welcoming and supportive, and the genuine love shared here is evident from the moment you walk in. The messages are meaningful and uplifting, and there are numerous weekly opportunities to get plugged in, grow, and build lasting relationships. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a phenomenal church community. My experiences at Light church (San Diego) and it’s “PAY FOR PRAY” business model is feeding themselves from the naive young adults who seek prayer. They will say they will “help pray for you” and ONLY if the price is right. Prayer from the beanie wearing pastor and his sidekick is like ordering a prayer from their brunch menu where if you buy 2 prayers for $200 and get a free side blessing. They do not help those in search of Jesus, but claim to be like him and charge you with a bill from any “prayer-time” with you. This is a profit style business model and not a church! They feed off those searching for hope and will charge you for every prayer and cash in on any tax write off available including family members. Pray for them because they need it and DO NOT ATTEND this PAY-for-PRAY organization. A lovely place to be. My coworker recommended this congregation to me and since I haven't attended any churches in awhile I decided to take a chance, and I'm so glad I did. What I love the most is the simplicity, the warm and welcoming people, the sense of community, and the love of the Word. The people I have met so far have really opened their homes and hearts. I look forward to attending more often. Just went for the 2nd time and love it. Really feels like our home church. Love the small atmosphere as it feels like a family. The singing is great and the pastor is AMAZING!! cried during service both time we went...God has truly blessed this man. younger crowd but a great place to be part of the down town , little Italy family.
