I love this church. It's very warm and welcoming. Come as you are. Doesn't feel Judgy. Music is very good. Have always missed pastor Chuck and I enjoyed pastor Craig's sermons. I pray it remains a warm church to attend for many years. A corrupt church. If you want to understand the truth of this church, go look at all the 1-star reviews that have been pushed down by questionably fake and pressured 5-star reviews. This church and current pastor, Matt, has pushed more people away from the lord and the community than any other church we have been to. Even worst, about a year ago, they wrongfully fired the long-time pastor and spread false malicious lies about him to some of the church members. They degraded a man who served 50 years at the church and poured his life and soul into the community - and the whole community loved him. Not only did the current pastor, Matt, plot against him and spread nasty things, but he refused to let Pastor Craig, the old pastor, speak and say goodbye. He also lied to the people of the church regarding Craig’s absence. Most likely out of fear that Craig would reveal the truth of the current pastors lies and sacrilegious behaviors. Lastly, if you read other reviews, you will see the pattern of the current pastors, Matt’s, efforts to threaten and act in a gray area. I can assure you, we will never return. This was my first time going to this church people are very friendly what would be expected out of a Christian would love to concern about you also I love the service the song worship even though I'm not of the denomination but I am going back to Arkansas to my church pay that I come back to California for another visit I would visit this church again thank you I have been part of CBC for about 6 years now, and one of the most incredible things about this church is that my children are truly known. Every Sunday when we walk in, multiple people greet my children and me by name. The youth leaders and many leaders at CBC know their names and their stories. To be known and loved in your church community like that is so special and often rare. The leadership at Capo is exceptionally strong, both the newer leaders and those who have faithfully served the church for decades. The new worship pastor, JC, is outstanding. Each week I genuinely sense that the worship and prayers in worship rise to the Lord as a strong incense (Psalm 141:2). There are more hands raised in worship now than there has ever been (since I have been here) at this church. Lead Pastor Matt is an incredible Bible teacher and speaker. I appreciate how he consistently brings historical context into his teaching and calls the church to action. I love that he speaks directly to the congregation rather than relying heavily on notes; as it makes the message feel so much more authentic and engaging. Rod Mayer, who has served at the church for over 40 years, leads the youth ministries with incredible energy, joy, and reverence for God. The heart of the youth program is not only that students know the Bible (though that is deeply valued) but that they truly EXPERIENCE God. Students are given opportunities to serve and encounter the Lord in real ways. One of the best things about this church is that they take God’s Word seriously when it comes to caring for orphans, widows, and those who are often overlooked or not usually welcomed. They truly are a "house of mercy" and never shy away from that calling. In Orange County, that kind of commitment is rare. This church genuinely welcomes and SERVES anyone and everyone through its doors! I am truly so grateful to be part of such an incredible church community! CBC has been my church for over 13 years. I have been to many churches in my life time but when I walked through the doors of CBC I found my home. Pastor Craig welcomed my blending family with open arms. Later to Baptize myself and my 2 daughter and then 6 years ago he Married my amazing husband and I at our home in front of 130 witnesses, blending a family of 6 ♥️ Which was amazing ! Pastor Dan has been our marriage Counceler for 7 years now 🙏 keeping my husband and I connected to the Holy Spirit and our marriage strong through and with the Lord. I am forever grateful to have found CBC 😇 my life has changed forever ! Thank you I feel so safe
