We absolutely love this church! It is very welcoming to everyone, and we have brought numerous friends and family members here. Our kids have participated in their youth programs since they were infants and toddlers, and it has been a loving, nurturing, and kind place for them to grow. There is a nice variety of music each Sunday. Pastor Karl’s sermons are focused, engaging, and relevant to my day to day life. I truly feel like I am learning and growing spiritually. We’ve laughed and cried (in a good way 😊) in church, and I’m always glad we attended. I have been attending this church for almost three years now and have truly found my church home. I started there just after the passing of my husband of 53 years. My first impression was very good. I was greeted by friendly people including Pastor Karl, all of whom wanted to know a little about me. I went back the following week and was impressed by the fact that they remembered my name and why I initially came. Most of all I have enjoyed Pastor Karl’s sermons and his time with the kids. It is a place where you can get involved as much or as little as you wish knowing everyone is so supportive in whatever you decide to do. Getting involved has been a blessing to me as I now have many more friends and am still meeting more. I have watched the church grow considerably in the almost three years I have attended. I have even brought along some of my friends who have all joined the church family. So if you are looking for a good church home with great music and very interesting sermons by a great pastor, this is the place to come. This is the finest church I have ever attended. The music is superb. The organist/pianist is the best I have ever heard. The musical selections are always varying, interesting and supportive of the sermon of the day. The minister is young and energetic. The sermons are always delivering a message I can relate to and hopefully make me a better Christian. The location has a superb view of the Pacific Ocean. Either before or after the service take the time to enjoy the wonderful view provided by God. St Andrew’s By the Sea is a Michelin Church. They also having amazing potlucks. Pastor Karl is amazing. I always leave church learning something new and feeling my spiritual soul lifted. His Sermons are never boring I especially love Finding God in the movies and the Tuesday Matinee. The Band, Choir and Bells music augment the Sermons The Music Director often educates in the origins of the music. Great fun. It is truly the church of connecting - there is so much to participate in if you want. Come Connect and Grow. Dee member side 1988. Raised my children and now my grandchildren who recently became members at age 15 and 19 They drive up from San Diego to be with the church and Youth which is outstanding Hope to see you soon. 🙏 Went here for preschool in ‘97. Ruined my life as an introvert child. I remember that pointed building not knowing it had anything to do with religiousness. Here I am in my 30s, addict and hating life remembering the lower level where they had two rooms to separate the children that played and the ones that didn’t. Then came Lobo elementary. Then in the 2nd grade I was put in a mixed class portable at the end of the property in a 2/3 grade combo. Can’t forget the YMCA a couple portables down.
