I was taught in highschool confirmation to believe in miracles that saints did, mentioned it to the deacon dave or frank at the adult confirmation about padre pio bi locating and deacon annointed non believer said "thats impossible!" and I said "it's true look it up" and argued for a minute and then he used the fallacy of authority that he knows more because he is older and a deacon and then the room went silent, proving he is shoveling lies and that the church really does prove god isnt real otherwise god would have made sure he knows and doesn't disagree with the pope or any church teaching .Philippians 4:13, which states: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."Matthew 17:20 Matthew 17:20: "He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'" talking to a mountain and making itself move isnt logical and was not figurative if people say he really walked on water. where do you see people performing supernatural miracles today? the fact you have a non-believer for a leader proves your lie of religion you're no different from any other religion claiming to be the one correct way of life or way. (N Matthew 7:21- 7:23. Being older or anointed doesn't make you better or correct on every detail nuances occur all the time. clearlty Martin Luther a priest did not get cannonized even though the promise of a crown in heaven for people who prayed the rosary was a statement by Mary in apparitions and also Martin Luther was a priest with a devotion to Mary. There are a lot of people that get confirmed and dont believe. your oil on the forehead doesn't actually mean it's true or you get some magical powers and or abilities. it's a placebo at best. religion is full of it. this is coming from a person who formerly prayed daily for things, fasted, studied, sacrificed, enjoyed, and made religion their life. ask for a blessing and nothing will happen. It's something that people use to tell themselves to explain coincidences and nature. I was very disappointed by my experience at this church. This was the first time I have ever attended a church that turned people away from receiving Communion and ashes. The church doors were closed before the Gospel began, and ushers were stationed at the entrance to prevent anyone from coming in. While I understand the need to maintain order during the service, what was most upsetting was that those who arrived were not offered Communion. They waited patiently and were willing to remain outside just to receive ashes. When the doors were eventually opened to allow those inside to leave, people were permitted to enter—but by then, the ministers distributing ashes were no longer present. It was heartbreaking to see individuals who had waited respectfully turned away without receiving either Communion or ashes. In my understanding, this practice does not reflect the welcoming spirit and teachings of the Church. My entire family was with me, including my daughter and grandson, who are not regular churchgoers. I have been encouraging them to attend Mass more often, but after this experience, it is difficult to know what to say. I sincerely hope the parish reflects on how situations like this impact both devoted parishioners and those trying to return to the Church. When we first moved to California from Oregon, we became members of this parish. My siblings and I did our sacraments here and even my kids were baptized and had their 1st communion's at this parish. We have recently moved to Valley Center but continue to attend mass here as we feel its the parish we belong to. Turns out, I called to book a Quince Mass for my daughter and they completely denied my request. They said I needed to inquire with my new parish and start new roots in the new city. Ridiculous much?!? I asked if I could provide a family members address who currently resides in the city to "qualify" for a mass and they said I would have that in my conscience.. meaning I would be lying. I told the young lady (Aleydi) who works in the front desk that it was going to be in her conscience that they closed the doors to their parish to a faithful Catholic family who had been attending mass at that parish for years!! I called St. Francis in Vista and they are willing to schedule a mass for my daughter without being members of their parish, and St. Stephens in Valley Center also has availability. Its very unfortunate to have a parish be so inconsiderate and not care if you no longer attend their parish after moving out of the city. You'd think they would try to keep your faithful family for many years to come but that is not the case and it truly breaks my heart that they make it more of a business then a religious place. If I could give a ZERO for customer service I would, I am in loss of words!! This is wonderful church to truly worship and praise God. In today's world the only way to hv peace is to let God live in our hearts and soul. To show love and kindness. To follow Jesus and His ways.....AMEN. The father’s are very nice and funny. They make sure to make you feel comfortable and they have a room just for kids to not interrupt you’re church time as well as the bathroom, they are extremely clean so I recommend coming to this church because they have classes for different languages so you should definitely come here.
