Nice Bible based teaching. Friendly staff and congregation. Pastries available after service where people can congregate and talk to people directly after the services. Liked it very much. The church sits on a hill with beautiful views. Love Calvary San Mateo. Why? Cause they were DA Calvary Chapel that reminded me once again why I have always loved this movement. Practical love, consistent and solid Bible teaching, freedom to worship God and live for Him enjoying this world and so much it has to offer (including surfing :)). People at this church are amazing: caring, prayerful, gentle, humble, most welcoming and loving. You have never tasted Calvary San Mateo hospitality yumminess after a Sunday service? Oh my! Don’t miss it ;) But on a serious note, though, Calvary San Mateo has always been about offering you to taste and see how good the Lord is - through teaching, service, prayers and friendships. It’s the church I call my family now. Love you, CC San Mateo!! This church is a blessing! You can’t help but leave feeling loved and cared for! It’s a family here. The leadership welcomes you and prays over you. Worship and the Word are a blessing on Sundays! Calvary San Mateo is a “church on hill” that seeks the Lord. Praise God! Changed my life! Happy, joyous and free is attainable with this Strong fellowship in a casual, loving environment. The pastor is younger, in high tech and great at relating the Word to the rat race we live in in the Bay Area. Great mix of people/families. Not like Catholic churches I have become a Christian 4 years ago and believe in Jesus Christ for he died on our sins and this church is like really really good they teach from the Bible extremely good with personalities that won't quit
