From the moment you walk in the door you feel the spirit. Debbie one of the greeters remembers everyone’s names and is the sweetest over the years she has become my spiritual mom loving and guiding my son and I to Jesus! Debbie and many others have become family to myself and my son Jaxon. Raising my son as a single mom I have felt nothing but constant love and belonging! We started attending when my son was 3 he’s 11 now. Calvary is very relational and there is a place for everyone no judgment just LOVE! Highly recommend! We toured almost all of the Christian private schools in OC and could not be happier with our decision to choose Calvary Christian School of Santa Ana. Calvary is deeply rooted in Christian values, and you truly see those values lived out daily through the way teachers care for students and how the community supports one another. One of the things we love most is the strong sense of community. Families are welcoming, and there are many opportunities for parent involvement, which makes you feel connected to your child’s education. We strongly believe parent involvement plays a huge role in shaping our children’s future. The school also offers many field trips and hands-on learning experiences that keep students excited and engaged. The teachers are experienced, caring, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth—academically, spiritually, and socially. With over 50 years of history, the school has a strong foundation and clear mission. We also appreciate the diverse student body and the emphasis on mission opportunities. Academically, we love the focus on spelling bees, speech meets, and foreign language instruction starting in first grade. We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Went to the church for 20 plus years, married there, kids attended schools on campus. Begged the "Executive Pastor" Eric Wakling for help and he didn't even have the decency to return an email or call... nothing.......20 plus years of attendance and didn't even qualify for a call. Be warned about this church as they talk a great game but they'll never show up to help you even when you beg for help. Swing and a miss with the comedy act tonight that was light on reflecting Jesus but had severe racial overtones. It appears this church has strayed from the days of strong Bible teaching I attended under Dave Mitchell. I don’t think Matt Doan would be proud of what was conveyed in the Worship Center. The laughing at marriage routine that we went to was TERRIBLE! Comedian showed up super late, then went down the racial road while pedaling merch, pay-out for additional seminars, and pushing a book. It was pretty bad and we left feeling taken advantage of. I’m all for comedy, but not the kind that denigrates “white people”, making it their entire act with a sprinkle of a Bible verse or two. Calvary staff, please do a better job of vetting who you endorse. Just a great church. Diverse, multi-generational congregation, lots of activities, fantastic worship team, messages that are true to the gospel. Everything a church should be.
