The Cardinal is a local in the Orange County Diocese. He has conducted Mass, in English at Saint Barbara's, on Euclid. The believing families are, truly Christian here. The decor is prestigious and well kept. Clean and Tidy. There were Avocado farmers offering deals on Avocado fruit, outside of the cathedral, for some type of fundraising to benefit the churches involvement in local city affairs. Plenty of comfortable seating, and a musically inspired precession. Nice place to have a church "Sunday ", morning... St. Joseph’s church is absolutely beautiful. I had been in the past a few times. I now live in San Diego and came to Santa Ana to go to mass with family for Easter. So I chose St. Joseph’s Church remembering how beautiful. Just wanted others to be aware it has changed a lot. I went to the 9 am English mass and it wasn’t a traditional mass. They had a lot of Samoan traditions incorporated in the mass. It really took my mind off of Jesus and the resurrection on this most special day. Also almost all songs were in a different language and sounded very islandie and sung in a very load volume. After I received communion I could not hear my own thoughts let alone focus on praying. It was very theatrical. All traditions are beautiful and I respect them, I would have wanted to know what I was in for and have the option to choose a more traditional Catholic Church where the focus is purely on God, our lord and savior Jesus Christ and the gospel. The mass should be labeled English/Samoan mass. Gods bless everyone and always keep your focus on Jesus especially in Church. July 22nd 2023 - My 2nd time Capturing a wedding ceremony here and the Architecture is beautiful outside! Congratulations to Stephanie & Francisco. Nice little church in Downtown Santa Ana. Near the County Civic Center. Mass in English on Holy Days of Obligation at 12.15 pm. Plenty of seats and music and normally a good sermon. Parking is available close to the church. Beautiful church . Priests are helpful in family values and spiritual growth ❤️🙏
