What visitors say

Our Lady of Peace Church and Shrine in Santa Clara is truly a blessed and welcoming place. Every 13th of the month during the Fatima film and prayer gatherings, the Filipino American Association shows incredible generosity by sharing their delicious food with everyone. Their hospitality makes the event even more special and meaningful. The KOC pancake and donut event is always a highlight, fun, warm, and something the whole community looks forward to. And I have to mention the cleaning and management staff as well, they are genuinely kind, hardworking, and always keep the church grounds clean, organized, and peaceful. I’m grateful to be part of such a loving and dedicated community. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a church filled with compassion, service, and a true sense of family. Always a beautiful church to be. With SO many different areas to explore. This day we went to Mass for My father's Birthday. My Mother and brother were going and we wanted to share the special day. Homily was wonderful. Confession line was long ( which means people are trying to be the best person they can be In my opinion) After Mass we lit candles (you can buy right outside the doors) and said special prayers for my daddy. He would be so happy if he was here not just for recognition of his special day BUT taking the kids to Mass was always an important thing he did with us. RIP Daddy/Grandpa we will meet again in Heaven! It is a beautiful Shrine of Our Lady and an active Catholic Church. It does Not have a cost to enter that I know of but im sure collect donations to keep up the grounds and maintain atmosphere. God Bless you, and keep you well. Perpetual Adoration. Holy Mass multiple times a day. Confession available. Very large metal sculpture of Our Lady Queen of Peace, the sculpture is very moving and beautiful. Place of pilgrimage. The Security Guard is a lovely (kind hearted) man (following the wishes of the Clergy and Priesthood). They are very doctrinal and I'm not sure how much they really feel and emanate the unconditional love of Christ. The space feels sacred but I don't feel the same from the Priests and parishioners. Instead I feel doctrine and judgment. I like to stretch outside to help me concentrate on hearing the word of the Lord. They told me today to go to the park to do that instead (away from the Statue of our Lady). I was stretching in front of a bench orienting myself away from view so as to be discrete. The guard asked me if I was doing Yoga? LOL, I was just stretching for the love of god. Fair, I understand it's a place of worship, but I still found it very strange and unloving. Is stretching against the will of God? I've never been approached like that anywhere at any place in the state of California or in any other Church for that matter. The Security Guard approached me many times before to "check on me" when stretching quietly by myself when coming here on Sunday. Therefore I assumed it was Ok. I've always greated him with a warm smile. They don't even seem as concerned with the homeless people occupying those same benches there as they are with me! 😅 And you can find me and vet me on LinkedIn. A nice place to go. Lovely grounds. Easy to meditate & attend Mass However- 'God forgive you' if you ever need to walk a bit w your small doggie inside his crate. My old doggie is handicapped & normally, I take him safely inside his special (doggie- crate) stroller. Once, I was strolling gently pushing his stroller on the sidewalk, when I was approached by very fierce ground guards. They asked me to leave the grounds noe! Even followed me to the car to see that I put him & his stroller into the car. It was so startling. I can't forget it. I understand the no dogs on-the-leash policy. However, I was quite intimidated. The place must have had terrible experiences in the past, with awful dog criminals.
