What visitors say
I visited Mission Church for a Sunday service. It's a large church, and it was very crowded, so hopefully their new building will provide more space for everyone. The message was encouraging, and the worship music was beautiful. If you enjoy a modern worship experience that feels more like a concert, along with pastors who are polished public speakers and preach with a lot of emotion and energy, you'll probably enjoy Mission Church. Those looking for a more down-to-earth, simple, and less performance-oriented worship experience may find that this church isn't the best fit. However, for those who enjoy a high-energy, polished worship service and engaging preaching, Mission Church offers that experience very well. If you are looking for a church to call home, I highly recommend Mission. Pastor Tyler, Staff and Volunteers are phenomenal. Whether it is your first time attending, or a long time attendee...they always treat you like you belong. This is one church where the amount of love is definitely perceivable. The sermons are great! If you do not feel comfortable going into the services, they have speakers outside in the court yard so you can receive the word! Miss you Mission Family! Keep up the MISSION...Changing the World One Person at a Time! I've been attending Mission Church for over two years, and during that time my relationship with Jesus Christ has grown in a truly meaningful way. I’ve also connected with so many incredible people who now feel like family. What I appreciate most about Mission Church is that everything they do keeps Jesus Christ at the center. Pastor Tyler is a strong and genuine leader, and it’s clear that he deeply loves the Lord. In every message he shares, he consistently grounds his teaching in Scripture and connects it to how we should live our daily lives according to the Word of God. Even when the message is challenging, Pastor Tyler speaks truth with love and conviction. That authenticity is something I deeply respect. Mission Church is truly special. It’s a place that genuinely loves people and, most importantly, loves God. I originally found Mission Church through a Google search, I had been away from church for about 20+ years. So I hope this review helps you. If you’re curious about Jesus, unsure about “church,” feeling lost, overwhelmed by the world, or just exhausted by your circumstances, visit Mission Church in Walnut Creek. Worship is all heart! The church genuinely loves people and deeply loves Jesus. If you don’t have the strength or faith to pray, they will pray and plead on your behalf. Every week I’m learning something new, about repentance (which simply means making a U-turn when you’re headed toward a dead end), about grace, and God's love. It’s about turning towards God who is already chasing you. You are here, looking aren't you? Hope to see you at Mission Church. Pastor Tyler fosters a sense of unity and purpose within the church. Under his leadership, I’ve seen the church grow not only in numbers but in depth—through prayer groups, Bible studies, and service projects that engage the heart of Mission Church. And to top it off he's pretty funny.
