Love this church! This church is non judgmental, casual, and friendly. From the first time we visited my family and I felt welcomed and was able to relate to the pastors and their teachings. The first church here in the Springs that I get excited to go back to every week. In fact, i live in Fountain and have never thought it was too far because of how great this church is. If you are looking for a church to attend, then I would highly recommend Discovery Church. Going to sign up for men’s retreat. Nervous but excited. Been church hunting with my soon to be wife. And we agreed to stay here. The service was amazing. And the baptisms were so special. I would tell everyone to not step foot in this establishment because it's not a church id recommend to anyone. For example I was out of gas and walked in to find a friend of mine and was greeted by the coldest people..it was 18° outside and when I was told my friend had left I explained my situations and with the fastest response from the coldest heart I've ever met in 68 years of life was told we don't give out cash and won't help with gas. Now sit and tell me is this the kind of church that teaches the principles of Christianity or humanity. Who would let a 68 year old man sit in his car freezing and not extend the love of christ to a former member and to a child of God. This is a disgrace of a church representing the love of God..from the young lady at the coffee stand to the older woman who literally told me to leave in so many words.ive never been humiliated and treated like that before any where in my life I think her name is lorane im not positive but I am positive that's not how your treat another Christian. Like I said disappointment is the feeling I receive and I encourage people not to go there. If they would allow a 68 year old former member sit stranded in 18°weather with no heat then they shouldn't be a church teaching the word of God because that's not what the word of God is When it comes to being real, this is the place. I admit, the music is loud... really LOUD. But the sermons are excellent. They hit home.. The staff are as real as it gets, and there is grace in your daily struggles... something I have yet to find at other churches. If you are a Christian, they will challenge the way you think about things. If you are not a Christian... you are TOTALLY welcome here! No judgment! This is a safe place to share your troubles... in love. If you are NOT normal (or do not WANT to be normal) this place is definitely worth a look or 5. I love this church. Greg is a great Pastor. The have kids and youth programs. They are very involved in the community of Colorado Springs.
