I love this church - my church family. From the very young to the very old, we all minister to each other and enjoy lifting each other up in prayer. What a privilege to be a part of this family. Love in action happens here. The truth is preached. God's word is taught to young and old. We looked for a church in the Springs for about two months, visting 6 congregations. This church feels like home. Pastor Rob is knowledgeable and thoughtful, the sermons were on point and rock solid. Worship was nothing over-the-top, but unlike many loud churches, people actually sang and worshipped along! It was refreshing to hear everyone contributing and participating. It's a great mix of young and old and after the church picnic a week later, it was clear how warm and incredible this group of people is for new believers or those seeking a church. Highly recommended! Come and join us! Great place for family gatherings. They hold Awanas scripture memory classes here that are really fun and educational for kids. Good for weddings and receptions. The are planning to build an even larger facility soon closer to Coronado High School. I have only three requirements for a church I attend. I found two of the most important at First Evangelical Free church. 1. Jesus must attend on a regular basis! I felt HIs presence there. The pastor and his wife and others were so caring of me as a new attendee even through my hospitalization. I also enjoyed the Tuesday evening Bible Study as well. 2. The songs sung should have His Name in them so I will know about Whom we are singing. I could even remember the words and sing them throughout the week. The music director and his wife were wonderful additions to the worship service. 3. A bell choir! Sadly, it was missing, but even as a confirmed "Ding a Ling", I was able to overlook this one down-fall for the joy of the first two. Praise His Holy Name! I didn't join the church because I will be moving to Denver very soon where my son has a new job, but I was all the more impressed when I learned that my daughter-in-law's missionary parents were sponsored by a First Evangelical Free Church for their 18+ years working with the tribes in the jungles of Bolivia. I am considering making a monthly trip to visit the people I have come to love. May God continue to bless your ministry to His people. As a child, I grew up in this chruch, was married in this church, barried my father and will do the same for mother in this church. Our doctrine is biblically solid!! I have watched GOD working through the people of this church and it is wounderful to see. All our pastors throughout my experience here are men of the word and preach what GOD has instructed them. Plenty of opportunities to grow and develop a relationship with our living GOD here. I would envite everyone to join us as we celebrate all GOD is, and what his love is doing in our fallen world.
