The most Christ-centered church in town. The entire church and their homeless ministry is run by volunteers. Even the pastor is not paid. Every cent goes to the ministry. Top that off with the Pastor and members taking a meal and necessities out on the trails weekly to provide for the less fortunate and a large meal after church on Saturday afternoons. They teach strictly from the Bible and the congregation is welcoming. You can come as you are and there is no judgement. A truly beautiful group of worshipers here. I was entrapped by the pastor and assistant pastor. the pastor said he needed to talk to a friend about their recovery, never said they were going come with other people, then they kicked me and him out of the church. They said our relationship doesn't look good to the church because he has a home and I live on the streets, but their name is THE PEOPLES CHURCH A CHURCH FOR THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY. I’ve been going to church since I was 6 years old. I’ve been member of at least 8 different churches throughout my life and visited many others. By now, I know how to tell if church leadership is fake or not. Since BEFORE the People’s church opened its doors, they have been routing all of their resources, donations and unpaid time towards creating a safe space for EVERYONE in the community to be able to hear God’s unfiltered Word without judgment of any kind. They are not only focused on people’s relationships with their creator, Jesus, but they also aim to provide physical assistance to everyone who needs it such as food, supplies, visitation in hard times, counseling and prayer. The Holy Spirit directs the stewardship of the resources they receive and I feel 100% comfortable giving my time, money and effort to the mission of the church because we are all imperfect people serving a perfect God, and even though we are bound to fail, He never has. Throughout the years I have watched the leadership grow in Spiritual maturity, love and discernment which only happens when you are truly filled with God’s Holy Spirit. I myself have experienced much Spiritual growth from where I was when the church began to now. At the end of the day, if you want a church to go sit at and warm a pew, this is not the place; however if you want a church where you will allow God to transform you as you yourself change the life of others by being His hands and feet, then look no further. May the Lord bless and keep any person with the attention span to read this entire rant! 😅♥️ This church is the litetal hands and feet of Jesus in Colorado Springs. This is the most caring, accepting, God-centered church in town. Not one person gets paid including the pastor. Every cent goes toward feeding and providing supplies for the homeless in the community. Each and every person is welcome here and you feel the presence of God at each service, Saturdays at 3pm. The pastor and other members walk the trails each week handing out food to the homeless. This church is amazing and has impacted many lives in beautiful ways. The people are always so willing to help in any way they can. I am very impressed with the authenticity and genuine kindness everyone has. It's amazing how there is no judgment but full acceptance of everyone who shows up. No one is paid and is all volunteers who show up every Saturday, and to include volunteers to walk the street and hand out food, and be there for those who are struggling. Can see/feel the Holy Spirit Moving in this Place. God bless you 🔥🔥🔥
