My experience at The Summit Church was incredibly disappointing. From the outside, the church presents itself as a welcoming, Christ-centered community, but my experience did not reflect those values. I found the environment to be cliquish and unwelcoming, especially toward newcomers who weren't already part of established social circles. Rather than demonstrating humility, compassion, and genuine fellowship, I encountered what felt like superficial interactions and a lack of authentic care. Concerns I raised were either dismissed or ignored, leaving me with the impression that appearances mattered more than people. A church should strive to reflect Christ's love, grace, and servant leadership. Instead, I left feeling judged, overlooked, and deeply discouraged. While no church is perfect, accountability, transparency, and a willingness to listen are essential qualities that I did not experience here. I cannot recommend The Summit Church based on my experience. I sincerely hope the leadership takes honest feedback seriously and works toward creating a community where every person feels genuinely valued rather than simply attending another Sunday service. I am from the Bible Belt and was visiting Denver for work. I found the Summit - Denver on Google. Upon arrival, I felt very welcomed. It was refreshing to see so many cultures together in one church. Pastor Andy noticed me and spent a great deal of time chatting before service. The people were active participants in worship and not merely spectators. The message by Pastor Andy was on-point, truth with love. So much wisdom in a half hour. If you are searching for a church, this is a Must Try. We absolutely love this church! I’m honestly surprised by the negative reviews mentioning cliques, because our experience was the complete opposite. We moved from a large church in Denver to The Summit specifically looking for genuine community, and from our very first service we felt welcomed. People came up to introduce themselves. The first two services we even had members of the church come up and ask us about getting coffee or breakfast afterwards. We quickly got plugged into a wonderful city group, and it was clear this wasn’t a “sit, worship, listen, and leave” kind of church. Summit is all about doing life together in community. Beyond that, Pastor Andy is deeply grounded in Scripture. His sermons aren’t about feelings or cultural trends; they’re about faithfully teaching the word of God. Although we recently moved to another state, we’re hopeful to find a church like Summit again. We can’t say enough good things about our time there! It truly shaped our lives and faith in such a positive way Great place to be, love the diversity ! Andy is a very honest and open individual . Very refreshing to hear the word from this man . I'm leaving this review on past experiences here, talking like 10 years ago past. We came to this church after our home church folded. It was hard to go from somewhere where the congregation was like family to a place where we knew nobody. However, I made friends quickly and joined 2 groups, one was the younger single crowd, the other older (30-50s) with kids (I had a daughter). I never felt unwelcome or unwanted either. Granted, I put effort into meeting people, didn't just sit there and do nothing. Sometimes it takes work people..... Seeing the reviews here though for the time since then, makes me wonder if I'd have the same experience if I showed up again.
