Grandson goes to preschool here. Staff is very caring and loves the kiddos. Only problem is they close for the summer so you have to have alternative childcare for those times! This is a great place for children's daycare. We do not attend services here, but do participate in daycare and contribute to the food pantry. Program is good, teachers care, and affordable. St. Andrew UMC has been an important part of our lives for over a decade. My wife and I have attended since 2010, and we’ve found it to be a church that truly strives to live out its values of compassion, inclusion, and service. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed by a warm and caring community. We’ve been especially grateful for the vibrant music ministry where we’ve formed lasting friendships and found deep spiritual connection. We know no church is perfect, and there may be times when people feel hurt or disappointed. But based on our own long experience, we’ve consistently seen the leadership and members of St. Andrew approach situations with humility and care - even when it’s hard. That’s one of the reasons we’ve stayed all these years. In a world that can be quick to judge and slow to understand, this church continues to offer grace, welcome, and a sincere commitment to growing in faith and service. If you’re looking for a place that balances thoughtful worship with a heart for outreach and justice, St. Andrew UMC is a community worth getting to know. Extremely Disheartening Experience – A Complete Disgrace to Ministry I entrusted my teenage son to St. Andrew’s Church for community service, expecting leadership, compassion, and guidance rooted in Christian values. Instead, what he experienced was bullying, judgment, and complete disregard for his dignity. The church sent him to serve at a food bank where a woman questioned his medical need for sunglasses and aggressively asked if he even wanted to be there. When he honestly said no (because it’s court-ordered service), he was treated with hostility. Rather than support or protect him, Cindy and Corinne—the very people in charge—sided with this woman without question. They didn’t investigate, didn’t show concern, and never once asked him, “What’s going on? How can we help?” When I tried to discuss it, Cindy was dismissive and aggressive with me. Corinne was defensive and immature. Their egos couldn’t handle a teenager telling the truth, and they turned what could’ve been a powerful teaching moment into a prideful attack. They didn’t act like mentors. They acted like bullies. This is a church, yet they acted with none of the love, patience, or humility Jesus calls us to live by. If this is the example of “ministry” St. Andrew’s promotes, it brings shame to everything the gospel stands for. My son walked away asking, “Why do adults in church act worse than me?” That should tell you everything. I’ll be speaking to others involved as well, but parents—think twice before trusting your child’s growth to people who use religion as a label but don’t live it. Welcoming church with a beautiful worship center. The sanctuary is graced with a large pipe organ.
