What visitors say

Just an amazing place, not because of the building, but because of the people who run it. I’m beyond grateful to be so blessed by God and have a welcoming community that makes me feel like family every time I walk in the front doors. Led by an incredibly educated, humble pastor. This is a church that I will never fail to recommend. CHIRCH CAN BE GREAT. DONT LOOK FIR NURTURING OTHER THAN SERVICE. THEY WILL SIT IN A CONFERENCE ROOM AND WATCH YOU STAND NEEDING HELP AT THE FRONT DESK Matt and Tim preach engaging and relatable sermons. Friendly faces and a casual culture feel welcoming. People will be available to pray for you, and the music sounds wonderful. Since recently moving to Longmont, my husband and I decided to visit as part of our search for a regular home church. My mother attended here about 15 years ago, so it felt like a no-brainer to give it a try for ourselves. One of the first things that concerned us was that there were no Bibles available in the pews. We were told Bibles were available at the information desk, but we were surprised they weren’t readily accessible during service. There were many large screens, so we assumed relevant Scripture would be displayed as it was referenced. We were a little disapointed that these screens seemed to be focused more on getting 5 or 6 perfect camera angles on the church band, and less focus was given to any actual message. To be fair, there were a few quotes (historical and biblical) that were displayed on the bottom 3rd of the screen on occasion. We did not attend for a concert. The first portion of the service was spent quoting historical figures. We all love a general history lesson, this is not what we attend church to learn about. The sermon addressed a difficult and divisive topic (abortion) which we acknowledge takes courage to speak on. However, a statistic was presented stating that “43% of women of child-bearing age have had an abortion.” From publicly available data, that figure is significantly higher than most reported estimates (25-30% depending on your source) When addressing sensitive issues, especially to a large and trusting congregation, making sure statistics are accurate is incredibly important. Especially when you are encouraging your flock to spread the word. While the general message was fine, we do not agree with inflating these numbers which seemed to be given as a "shock" factor. We believe church leadership has a responsibility to handle Scripture and factual information with care. Which does not seem to be a priority here unfortunately. That being said, if youre looking for an entertaining band, polished camera angles, camera men walking around throughout the service, we believe this is the church for you. This is just not what we are looking for. We were very disappointed. The Paster Matt gave a great sermon about Ecclesiastes. Very welcoming and fun people to talk with.
