What visitors say

Hi! I started going to Victory mainly for youth on Wednesdays after a friend recommended I try it. I hadn’t really been attending church and was hopeful this would be a positive experience. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in, the environment felt noticeably judgmental and uncomfortable. We were split into groups and talked for a bit, and afterward I opened up slightly to the main worship leader. At first, she appeared kind and trustworthy, which made me feel comfortable enough to share, but looking back, that assumption was clearly misplaced. I struggle with anxiety, so opening up was already a challenge. Instead of receiving support or guidance, I was met with passive-aggressive responses and unnecessary snarky comments. I was simply talking about school and things I was going through, yet somehow left feeling out of place and uncomfortable. Later, I found out that what I shared had been discussed with other people in the church, which was especially hurtful—considering it was one of my first times opening up to someone in that setting. A church should feel welcoming and safe, and this experience was anything but that. When you are in a leadership position, sharing someone’s personal information should not be optional or based on convenience; unless someone is in danger, those conversations should remain private. Unfortunately, this situation felt far more like gossip than genuine care. I also expressed interest in joining the worship team, as I have a strong passion for singing and growing closer to God. I went through the audition process with the same leader and submitted a singing video as instructed. Weeks passed, and I continued to feel uncomfortable walking into the church, only to never hear back at all. The lack of follow-up or communication felt unprofessional and dismissive. The people are what make up a church, and unfortunately, a small group of individuals managed to overshadow what could have been a meaningful experience. Being in a “godly” environment should not feel like walking into a space filled with gossip and judgment—especially when those who claim to worship God are the ones participating in it. sadly, I’ve since spoken to several others who shared similar experiences with this same leader, including favoritism, bias, poor communication, and sharing personal information. (this is not only with one person, it’s with multiple people) While the preaching and vocals were good, the overall environment was unhealthy and took a toll on my mental health. Because of that, I would not return, and I would not recommend you go/ send your child to this church. I posted this comment in december and this is me coming back to it (editing the comment on 1/28/26) So i posted this comment to google and yelp and I find it super unprofessional. Within 2 weeks my comment was deleted/ hidden off of yelp so others are not able to see it, i logged on from my friends phone to check and it was not there, as well as my other accounts— maintaining their 5 star rating…Just going to point that out because that’s beyond unbelievable. If you are new or don't know if it's for you, you're welcome! They have a band we sing, and the words to the song are displayed on a large screen. Pastor Danny is passionate, relatable, and very knowledgeable, and he breaks down what he reads from the Bible, so you really get it. The reading is also displayed on a large screen. All of the service is displayed in fact on a large screen. I went and immediately knew I belonged. I was recently baptized at VC. I absolutely need VC, and they have 3 different times on Sunday to attend. The people are kind, caring, and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about VC. If you're not sure, at least check it out your welcomed. It sets me up for a great week ahead, and I leave with knowledge and a song in my heart, knowing God loves me. I’m so blessed to be part of this church, our friends invited me and my husband to joint and I so grateful for them, Jesus is so present in every service, I love coming here and so grateful for everything this people do and for the amazing band!!! ❤️ From the moment you enter Victory Church in Boca you can feel the warm family welcome..
