2/22/26--A day or two ago I started to feel something missing inside me. I needed to be around believers. I needed church. The Bible says, “Let us not give up meeting together… but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:25). My soul was saying, go find your people. So yesterday I searched for churches near me. I found one… but when I checked their beliefs, it was more like a we made God to our liking and image and not the other way around a club with a cross decoration. I was looking for a Bible-believing church, not a “feel good and go home” place. I prayed: “Lord, lead me.” Because the Word is clear: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Then I found City Church. I went straight to the statement of faith like a spiritual detective 🕵️♀️ — if it doesn’t say salvation through Jesus alone by faith alone, I keep scrolling. But this one… this one was solid. I said, maybe this is it. Just because I am in Florida does not mean I will visit any church. Even on vacation my faith travels with me 😄. I woke up super early (that is already a miracle — resurrection power level). I took a Lyft and went. But before that… my husband and I had an argument about his brother, the professional, certified, gold-medal pathological liar. Yes, I arrived at church holy on the outside and boiling on the inside. I even said, “Get me a flight back to New England. I am homesick. Florida is not my place!” yes, I don't like Florida , there , I said it! So there I was — mad, dramatic, and in a Lyft — very spiritual moment. But when I arrived, a kind gentleman greeted me, and I smelled coffee and pastries… and suddenly my sanctification process started ☕🥐. I was still fuming inside, believe me , I wanted to talk to noone. I made the conversation with that gentleman short and told him look, I am a believer, It is okay! I wanted to be alone , he led me to the sanctuary and I sat there writing in my journal, in my mind with my thoughts and prayers. Truth to be told, People were so friendly. The worship was beautiful. And the message — wow. Not many churches preach in a way that challenges you. This one went deep into Scripture, even into the book of Revelation (yes — the book many churches treat like it is classified information). “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). The message reminded us that we must share our faith. And I felt convicted — in a good way. Because honestly, I have been quiet. But “we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20). So here I am sharing with you: Jesus is salvation. Only through Him we receive eternal life. “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son” (1 John 5:11-12). There is a New Jerusalem prepared for those who belong to Him (Revelation 21). That is our real home — not Florida, not New England 😄. I have to remind myself of this. Any other way leads to eternal separation from God. The Bible says it with love and truth, and real love tells the truth. So now you know. The choice is yours. As for me — I arrived angry, homesick, and dramatic… and I left with coffee in my hand, peace in my heart, and my boarding pass to heaven already confirmed ✈️. “How lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord Almighty… Blessed are those who dwell in Your house” (Psalm 84:1-4). This building used to be a library they rent there, so for those complaining about not being handicapped friendly I did see a ramp a long ramp that leads to the entrance on the side of parking lot. What I can tell you based on Sunday morning preaching , I would def visit again. My experience at City Lift Church has been phenomenal so far. Coming from an Organizational leadership perspective everything from the coffee station the times, the functionality, the structure, the delivery, and the communication has been very intentional. I don’t feel judged or pressured, I feel loved and accepted. City lift Church is welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. The service is meaningful, powerful, uplifting, and engaging. The pastor has a way of connecting with all walks of life and making you feel seen and heard. The First Lady is always joyful, expresses gratitude, patient, and calm. Her harmonic tone brings ease yet pulls you in as she shares whether it’s a word from the Bible or a testimony. She’s a bright spot in an anyone’s day. The two together is dynamic you can see the hard work and hustle, but also see the softness and care for others. You can see their heart through their actions, their words and their presence. And last, but not least my kids absolutely love it from the first day they stepped foot in the doors. The lessons are meaningful and fun, and it’s always great to discuss after church and always excited to go the next time they’re with Mommy. 10/10 experience! This is such a great church where the theology is sound and Pastor Matt teaches with clarity and conviction. The worship team truly creates an atmosphere that invites the presence of Jesus into the room. And the community, just wow. We’re not meant to do life alone, and being part of this church is a beautiful reminder that God is in the “together” moments. I’m so grateful for Pastor Matt and Pastor Alyssa and their obedience to God in creating a Christ-centered space for the people of South Florida. If you haven’t visited yet, come join us at ArtServe at 10:30am! In the past, I was searching for a small church close to home. From the very first time I visited, I felt truly welcomed. That feeling stayed with me, and before I knew it, this became a place I can call my own church. I’ve already started serving, and even though it has only been one month, it honestly feels like I’ve been here for a whole year. The love, connection, and sense of belonging have been unbelievable. The pastor is truly inspiring, delivering messages that are both powerful and easy to understand. You can feel the genuine care and passion for the people and the community, which makes a big difference. One thing I really appreciate is how comfortable and relaxed the atmosphere is—you don’t have to stress about what to wear, you can just come as you are. I love it here! The people are always so welcoming & kind. I’ve never felt pressured to serve God or participate but the pastors allow it come from your heart. Pastors are family orientated and really about the people. Worship is great and the preaching is biblical.
