I am visiting Discover Life Church in Melbourne. I first began attending the Viera campus, and I thank God for allowing me to be part of this beautiful congregation. I pray for the Pastor, the leaders, and everyone who comes together to pray, intercede, and do God’s good work. May His purpose be fulfilled in our lives, and may we continue sharing His love and the message of salvation with others. May God continue to bless this church abundantly. Very disappointed in this church. It was our first time attending with my husband and our 12 month old baby. We haven’t been to church in months and we were really excited to get back into it as we felt that’s what we needed in our lives. We were enjoying the message the pastor was preaching. Occasionally our baby would make a small noise maybe 2-3 times. Everyone got loud at a point and she also did because she is in the stage of copying other people’s noises. She never cried or screamed and they kicked us out. They said “we are going to have to ask you to go to a different area in the church, we are recording”. This was probably the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had in my life. Jesus would never do that. Apart of the message was “read the room” and trust me we read the room, if she was crying we would’ve left, if she was screaming we of course would’ve left. She made the tiniest noise twice and that was enough to kick a family out. So clearly recording the message and making sure the recording isn’t ruined is more important than the family showing up to worship Jesus with their baby. They state they have a family room where you can watch it on the screen and wanted to send us there but at that point it wasn’t worth it to us. We will never be back and we’re just so disappointed in this experience here. I prefer not to say how I truly feel about this church except to say, I pray they become more approachable, very sad If you are looking for a church that is Spirit filled, speaks truth over you, multicultural, welcoming, genuinely loves everyone, helps the community, doesn’t judge, has a come as you are mentality and offers a family like community, then this is the church for you! My family searched for a church home for a long time and once we found discover life we knew this was it. Pastor Ken is 💯🙏 a REAL MAN, one that Loves Jesus and the MEN of our community. I'm encouraged by Pastors line Ken because HE tells it like it is "straight no chaser" JUST like Jesus does and backs EVERYTHING up with the very word of God, the truth is the truth and if that hurts one's feelings, then maybe YOUR feelings needed to be hurt in order for ETERNAL REWARDS to manifest in the lives of the believer or the LOST....... Pastor Ken and the team of associate Pastors, elders and volunteers truly care about YOUR healing and eternal inheritance and will stop at nothing to show you how to develop a relationship and direct access to THE GREAT PHYSICIAN, JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. All men need to register for the next FIGHT CLUB at Discover Life, there is sooooo much power in a room full of men worshipping God on a FRIDAY night when the rest of the world chooses otherwise devicive influence and consequences.
