Was eating my lunch out front got told from the pastor him self we was not allowed to eat out front and kicked us out. I thought a church was nice friendly and caring not mean and aggressive. Thank you pastor for the warm and kind words you gave us. This Catholic church is a heavenly place in Miami Beach. The priest who serves this Parish is extremely blessed and he is indeed guided by the Holy Spirit when he talks. I have confessed here twice and both times I felt as if Jesus Himself was there listening to me and talking to me. The decoration here is beautiful. The helpers are caring and loving. When in South Beach, I recommend: cone and pray at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church. It’s a fine church if you are bilingual but can be hard to understand the priest. It was fine until the priest on a Sunday said to please ENJOY the refreshments in the back of the church after mass, that ended up being a horrible time. We went to be nice and be part of the community but once we went to the table to grab a cookie they didn’t say a word to us, we were in that room talking and two men come up to me and my sister telling us that we stole, we thought he was joking but they all started giving us horrible faces. Now my boyfriend was talking with someone else and finished his muffin and stepped out and they all started shouting that he was a thief and he didn’t pay to go grab him that he needs to pay. Mind you, they didn’t say “that would be $3.50” or anything so how would we know? Then proceeded to make an entire scene about it. That is not how a church operates. Then we come back to pay them in cash and they say they aren’t even part of the church. We thought that was weird. Very disrespectful and disappointing experience. This is a place needed every Sunday. I am from NY and I make sure to find a church I can attend my weekly mass. The place where we all are 1, 1 in the father, we are all family. If you are having a ruff day or week this is the place to feel better and ask for forgiveness, which both will be bestowed upon you. I felt like I was at home with my family. All praise given to the Alpha and Omega. If you are reading this review, may all the blessings be with you and all your loved ones. AMEN! Always 5⭐️ Great spirit within this church. Loved attending mass on my vacation.
