We instantly felt at home and as a military family that was extremely important to us. Pastor Marty and his wife Angela are so kind, as well as my husband connected very well with Pastor Ivan’s Men’s Group. Military- make sure and try out Military Assistance Support Hub- MASH (Ask Guy about it) Kori and Zach Smith are the most welcoming people. Very supportive and loving church, amazing people. I thought I was going to Cornerstone but realized after spending 15-20 minutes that I was at Northstar. It may have been an omen since the service met my needs. There was a good mix of seniors which I relate with and the younger people offer a needed vibrancy. Wendell's music selections were contemporary without being over powering. Most importantly, Pastor Roy's sermon was on point. Biblical teaching made relevant to modern times with just the right amount of humor. I may have found a church home Came for the coffee stayed for the service. It was about self-care and unplugging. These people were welcoming folk. I did not perceive any political bias here. Went there for utility assistance and my 1st thought was God must be happy this place is gorgeous and even has its own coffee shop and kids indoor playground (like ones in McDonald's), and friendly faces every where you look! I'm thinking of attending just off my experience here. Lovely place and people! God is great all the time! Amen! I have been going there for the past 7 years. Intermittent as I left the area for 3 years and then the pandemic began. I attended online during the pandemic, finally retired and returned to Northstar when I returned to Florida. I can honestly say that I have never been been happier than than to be back. Pastor Marty is like none that I have ever known. He's genuine, honest, transparent but mostly kind with the greatest love for God and his members. It's an honor and a privilege to be a member of this home. Not church, but home because that's what it is. Pastor Roy is my hero and he met a need for me when my brother passed away. Please, if you are looking for a church home , come celebrate Jesus with us. You will not be disappointed. God bless and Merry Christmas 👩🍼✨🎄
