I cannot say enough positive things about this school. I moved my daughter to this program the summer before VPK. She started Kindergarten recently and leading up to the first day, she was sad to miss her friends and teachers at St. Pete First. Ms. Alicia and Ms. Terri do a fabulous job of operating the program, communicating with parents and families, and providing a wealth of enriching activities for the kids during the school year and through the summer. We've made many great friends and memories at this school. There are opportunities to participate in soccer, dance, and choir through either the school or the church. There are also winter and spring showcases where the students demonstrate what they've learned in class. One of my favorite parts of my day is checking the Tadpoles app and seeing photos of what my little one did at school. If you're looking for a loving, safe, and high-quality childcare institution to send your child, I wholeheartedly endorse St. Pete First! My daughter is about to finish VPK at FUMC preschool and we’ve been so happy with our experience. My son will start in VPK soon and it feels nice to be so confident after her experience. The 2s and 3s classrooms have also been fantastic for us! The admin staff is wonderful. They treat everyone like family. I’d give 6 stars if I could. We feel so lucky to have found St. Pete First UMC Preschool. From day one, we’ve had complete peace of mind knowing our son is in such loving, capable hands. Miss Alicia and Miss Terri are the perfect duo to run this operation and every time I see them in passing, they always have a smile on their face and seem genuinely happy to work with children all day. My child loves his teachers, and talks about them all the time, specifically Miss Josee and Miss Nia who run one of the 2 year old classes. (Honorable mention to Miss Val) These women have the patience of a saint! The program is thoughtfully run, with fun, festive events and a strong focus on learning. We also really appreciate the open-door policy that allows parents to be involved. We can’t say enough great things about St. Pete First. It’s a truly special place! As my last baby is finishing the VPK program at FUMC, I have only wonderful things to say about Alicia Clements and her preschool / VPK program. We started at FUMC before Miss Alicia joined, and what we’ve witnessed during her time is a beautiful transformation of a caring, compassionate and loving program that has helped to bring community, education and exceptional care to the people I love most. Her staff is excellent, people my children (and I) truly love and value, and she’s built a wonderful atmosphere of community. She’s created a number of events and opportunities to witness children create art and song, and recently brought a newly renovated playground to the campus. The love here speaks for itself ❤️ I cannot imagine a better preschool. The staff and administration goes above and beyond for each child, caring for them as if they are their own. The family feeling & warmth FUMC provides is special and one that I’ll forever be grateful for. My son’s VPK experience has exceeded any expectation due to the teachers dedication to the kids education.
