Super thankful to call these amazing family of God my church family!!! They have something for all ages and all stages of life at first it was a bit rocky but once I got to learn more about the foundation of the church and what they are about God really laid it on my heart to not only attend the church but to serve this amazing church and spread the gospel of Jesus to our neighbors and each part of the serving team whether it be on Sunday mornings or Thursday nights all come together as one and I would Highly recommend this church to everyone super Thankful and blessed for this church!! Let the record show: I am writing this review to inform, not to attack. In June 2025, I reported a sexual assault by a member of Family Church Young Adults. From the beginning, my experience has been deeply disappointing. Instead of pastoral care, I was met with disbelief, spiritual manipulation, and attempts to silence me “for the sake of unity.” I was told that if I spoke out, I would be causing division in the body of Christ. No one from leadership consistently walked alongside me, checked on my well-being, or provided meaningful protection (as they are trained and obligated to do). At one point, I was even pressured to meet face-to-face with my perpetrator to “hash things out” and “get to the bottom of the truth,” because “it was possible that I had misunderstood the whole situation.” This was neither safe nor biblical. The church also allowed my perpetrator to attend our co-ed overnight Young Adults retreat, despite my expressed concerns and discomfort. When I continued to raise concerns and finally went public after three months of isolation, I was removed and banned from fellowship—told not to attend church gatherings at any Family Church location, or I would be trespassed and arrested on sight. Leadership even attempted to criminally charge me for exercising my constitutional right to speak out online. Family Church went so far as to post police outside a Tuesday night Bible study. The West Palm Beach Police Department confirmed the church had no case against me. However, these extreme actions have now drawn further scrutiny and launched a larger investigation into the church’s handling of abuse. Scripture is clear: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” (Ephesians 5:11). Unity is never built by covering sin; it is built on truth and accountability. I am now working with law enforcement and legal counsel because what I experienced at Family Church was not only a failure of leadership but also potentially a violation of victim protection rights. This is not about one individual’s sin but about how leadership chooses to handle serious allegations. If you are considering attending here, please know: churches should be safe places where victims are believed, protected, and shepherded with care. Sadly, that was not my experience at Family Church—nor has it been the experience of others, who are now coming forward because of my bold stance. I pray they choose repentance, transparency, and true biblical accountability moving forward. But until then, prospective members should ask: What are they hiding? And how many others have been silenced? Horrible experience 😪 I walked in wanting to hear the word of God not be judged for being homeless or treated as if I was trying to steal something or what she tell me we don't feed or hand out food ok I didn't ask for anything all I asked was how do I get inside and even then she acted like she didn't want me to go in whole time talking to me like I'm dumb just very judgemental yes I'm going thru a rough season and the only food I wanted was god's word. Anyways never going back there i feel worse than when I walked thru the door. I just moved to the area and tried this church out a couple of times. Though this church may not be for me, I encourage anyone who feels led to, to give it a try. This is just my perspective and my own personal experience, so please take my reasoning listed below with a grain of salt Worship: The music team is so talented, but at times, it could feel more performance based geared toward streaming than a space for the congregation to truly engage with God. The volume and presentation (lots of lights ) sometimes distracted from the heart of worship. But we are living in different times and a lot of churches are like this nowadays, so it's understandable. Community: The people are friendly and engaging! I did reach out twice via the website to see about a particular small group and see if spots were available, but i never heard back. It could be that the website isn't working properly, but i did receive emails from the church about other things, so maybe they were just really busy!!! Financial Talk: I completely understand churches need to be transparent about giving, but there were moments when it felt like financially heavy discussions, but it could have just been the theme for that service. (I went to this church 7 times) Sermons: The teaching was biblical, but It could feel a little shallow. For example when addressing a message on temptation in corinthians, the example used was "eating too much ice cream" while entirely relatable it felt like the messages would often times avoid addressing deeper real life struggles with sin that adults may wrestle with. I was hoping for more substance and depth, but like I said, maybe it was an off service, too. Political and personal focus: some services where the message centered around political figures instead of christ felt a little off to me while it's appropriate to talk about current events. I can understand bring up some things especially in light of recent events, But often time the events felt cherry picked over which ones were actually relevant and it felt more like political commentary and the politization of Christianity. I will say however whoever gave the sermon last Sunday about the "main thing is the main thing: was a phenomenal speaker. Needless to say, im glad I tried this church out, I will be moving on, but I sincerely wish them the best of luck out there and encourage them to keep it up! Inspired messages with focus on family and children. Something for everyone! Great musicians!
