What visitors say

I’m a female in my 30s and have more of an alternative look. I have never once felt judged at crossroads. I also love the diversity within the church and the people who attend, down to the pastors and staff. I now volunteer most Sundays and attend some of their international mission trips. I’m the last person people thought would LOVE going to church! Crossroads has opened my eyes and heart to what being a Christian is all about. 6 months after first attending I was Saved. I’m proud to call myself a Christian. Crossroads and Jesus have changed my life for the better in too many ways to list. This church has become a great way to meet people in my community in a healthy environment. If you’re someone feeling lost, wanting to explore Christianity or just wanting to meet some nice people locally, you won’t be disappointed with Crossroads! Come join the family :) outcast welcome! And come by the cafe they have they best grits in town! The church is nice and the service is nice. However, I just experienced a not so nice moment from someone who was working behind the food and beverage counter. Older, white, blonde woman with glasses interrupted my conversation with another member working behind the counter to tell me that I would not be able to get in line even just for a drink because they had to close it at some point. While during this time, several people were ignoring the “we are closed” sign that was posted, building the line back up to even more than it had been since I went to them and asked about the drink. Please keep in mind that they had not even started service yet. So what am I supposed to do in this situation? Break and ignore the rules like the other members of this church? Or go without after asking permission to purchase a drink? It makes me question the people of the church. I’m no perfect princess by any means but this one particular person did not seem Christ like at all. Maybe I shouldn’t judge the whole church for one person’s actions. I’d just like to think a member of the church who works for the church would exhibit a more kind and giving nature than what was shown to me. Or maybe this is just how they treat strangers because I’ve only been here a couple of times. If I start coming more frequently would I be able to get away with more things? Pastor Brandon was amazing!! Spoke from the heart and you could hear his passion! I gave a ride to someone who signed up for the free baby supplies. With the dangerous weather these past couple of days, you would think that some one would have had made alternative arrangements andaccommodations for people not to stand outside, lined up, like giving out free supplies SHOULD NOT look like. I mean if people are here, they obviously need the supplies. Why have people wait without dignity? It was freezing outside, and once the sun sets, it will be unsafe. This is not a small church, and has plenty of square footage inside to accommodate these folks seeking assistance. What? You didn’t want the inside of the facility to get dirty? Simply horrible. There’s small kids here, infants, pregnant women, older individuals. There were two picnic tables in between the crowds, and several pregnant ladies cut the lines to sit. Shameful. If you’re going to do something for the community, do it taking every aspect into account. To make matters even worse, they didn’t open the doors until 4:45 PM. Plus, no one answered the phone to provide any information as to the new start time. People were outside freezing, sniffling, and if they weren’t sick already, had a good chance of catching a cold. The plus side is it wasn’t raining. I find it very hard to believe this is an atmosphere anyone would feel welcome to worship, being a total stranger. My grandson and I attended a Christmas celebration here and we had fun. Everything was so organized. There was a children's dance performance with Freddie Falcon, sermon, hot chocolate and cookies, painting, games, photo booth, train rides, actually making s'mores outside, prizes, taking pictures with Freddie Falcon, and more. We had so much fun December 14!
