We moved to GA in 2016. We "tried" 5 churches and didn't feel our needs were met. Then we went to Mars Hill Community Church and we felt we found a home. The teachings are all Bible based. The commaraderie and friendliness is top notch. Vintage Bible Study for us "older folks" is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and provides great fellowship. We participated in a mission trip to Costa Rica and missions are so important to Mars Hill in spreading God's word. A church wide annual program will be next month where we sign up for 20 minute increments to continuously read the Bible from Wednesday night to Saturday night. What a heart warming experience this is every year...a great way to start the New Year! We moved to Georgia 2 and a half years ago to be closer to family. Our Daughter and her family attended Mars Hill Community Church, so naturally it was the first church we visited after moving. We loved it but because we moved 20 miles away, we decided to try other churches closer to our home. After trying at 6 or 7 other churches closer to us we decided that the drive was worth it. They have amazing programs for all ages. We are part of an extremely active senior group at the church that has somewhere between 25 and 50 seniors who attend on a regular basis. The men's ministry is always planning event and the women's ministry is very active and has at least 6 different Bible studies for you to choose from. Our grand kids are involved in an active youth group that has small discipleship groups. They have at least 2 times a year big community outreach events that are fun for the whole family. If you are looking to plug into a church that preaches the word without compromise, has great music and has programs for all ages then this is the church for you. We are so glad made this our church home. I’ve been attending Mars Hill for a couple of years now. The music is fantastic! I love the women’s ministry events and that they are involved with the church, the community and growing closer as women. My absolute favorite thing is Vintage, a group of 50+ that meets on Wednesday nights at 6:00. The teaching is spot on and the members are my prayer warriors and always willing to come alongside members of the group or their extended families anyway they can. The fellowship is wonderful! We have 30 to 40 members each week and share snacks, meals, games and trips. A perfect way for older adults to get plugged into a new church. Long before moving to this area we had driven past this church many times and were impressed by the level of activity. When we made the move from Blue Ridge to Dallas it was an easy choice to visit Mars Hill Community Church. We were welcomed warmly as soon as we got in the door. It was good to see the sanctuary full and we enjoyed the worship service and preaching and knew that we had found a new church home. Mars Hill Community Church is a wonderful Church. The preaching and teaching are practical, life related and thoroughly Scriptural. The people are amazing! We have made so many friends! There are ministries for all ages and the small groups (called Life Groups) enable you to connect with and share life with other people who are just like you! I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this church to you!
