Northside is a sweet church. They teach straight through the Bible. (For example, they studied the book of Matthew for almost a whole year.) I would say closest denomination would be Baptist. They do baptize. A lot of their structure is similar to North Point Church in that they do small groups in homes, the Sunday Morning set up, how they do Bible studies for men and women and the kids area is also similar to NP too. Twice a year they do men’s group (early mornings for Bible study durng a week day) and they do women’s Bible study twice a year (spring and fall). These are anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. The security for the kids is very good in my opinion. I did feel like my kids were very safe there and they had good lessons for them and the volunteers were engaging. (They do not need to use hired help for the kids. It comes all from people volunteering.) People rotate in and out, so your child does not have the same teacher each week. They have usually four different teachers that rotate. We really enjoyed both the sermons and the worship music and felt like it was Bible based and good theology. Our family personally has had a hard time connecting anything beyond forming shallow community ties, but I think lots of people love this church and thrive there. We have been very active in everything but the community groups. It is a very family focused church. They have a few big events for the whole church each year including a big waterslide event for the whole family and Christmas and Easter events. The church has recently become debt-free and done a large renovation on the chapel, which is really beautiful and has given a space for more events. The church has also experienced tremendous growth in the last couple of years. Since moving to Atlanta in 2021, I've searched for a church home. Northside truly stands out. It's incredibly welcoming and immediately felt like family. The sermons, which walk through books of the Bible, offer practical life application. The women's Bible study is an excellent addition, essentially providing a second weekly sermon. The community is so welcoming and easy to connect with, and there are multiple opportunities to get involved. Highly recommended! Our family searched for several years for a new church home and visited so many great churches in the Roswell area, but when we were first visited Northside Church over two years ago, we left smiling because we highly suspected we had found “it”. At Northside, we found the perfect combination of Biblically sound teaching, where we would certainly grow in our faith and knowledge of the scriptures, but also where we felt the amazing joy of Jesus, a lot of laughter, and so very welcome from day one. It's a church large enough to have engaging activities for our whole family, but small enough to easily plug in, find real community and mentors, and even get to personally know your pastors. We now host / greet on Sundays and meet visitors whom we hope we help make feel as welcome as we did. Thankful for Northside Church Roswell and God’s many blessings in bringing us into this church family… Come see us there! This is a Bible based church (no skipping the hard parts). The vocalists and those playing instruments are truly worshipping (not performing), and kiddos are discipled at every age(not babysat). Community Groups are considered essential for building relationships, and there are always resources to grow deeper in the knowledge and faith, no matter how long you have followed Jesus. Northside Church is for ordinary people (come as you are) so so so welcoming. i currently serve i. their kids program and just have never felt more comfortable in students group. shout out to andrew kistler and my teacher amanda in students!! also the directors of kidside you are AWESOME! thanks for reading my review!!
