I must say that I’ve adopted this church as if everyone that attended here were my own personal family! I love the message that the pastor delivers every Sunday Some days I feel as if he’s speaking too me directly! The staff members are such loving and supportive people! My son and I have been attending this church for about 5 years now and my son has brought forth about 6-7 of his peers to their children’s church and they are always asking me if I can pick them up every Sunday, their always speaking about how nice everyone were to them as well!! Please come out and feel Gods presence inside of assembly!! The one church that has everything for kids and adults of all ages. Always a good sermon and a sense of community. I came a few times to attend sunday service and it was just awkward how hard that harp on tithing. Then one Sunday the pastor said and I quote “If you’re not going to give don’t be a member we don’t want a non giver”. I just quit going. A little history and bible knowledge: Tithing is in the book of leviticus- God was giving law to the Israelites. Well Good people I am not an Israelite and most people in the United States are not Israelites. Additionally, Jesus died for our sins and led us away from this. Fast forward to New Testament Jesus says give with a good heart as you see fit. This does not describe money. Giving could be giving time, money, clothes, donations, etc… So therefore please give with a good heart as you see fit. Don’t buy a million dollar church and then shame your members to give and minister scripture out of context. First off, there aren't nearly enough volunteers in the kids/nursery department for a church that size, meaning there is no reason to have that big of a congregation and not enough volunteers. Red flag to me. There was a sweet older lady in the room who didn't look like she needed to be much on her feet for the entirety of a service chasing around 4 year olds but we were told that they have a shortage of volunteers, also the reasoning for the different room my 2 year old would be in. The next red flag was the cafe/coffee area. So very hectic and the girl I needed to remind about my lemonade order after 15 minutes of waiting was not very polite when I mentioned it and she said I needed to just wait a little longer. I told her many have gotten this drink who ordered after me, she said they're behind and I told her okay well church is starting now, so can I just get a refund? She asked me how much the drink was (there were no prices on the sign & we also got a couple of hot chocolates and donuts) so I told her I have no idea, so she opened the register and gave me a $5.. I was like okay, so that was a great encounter. We sat through worship and it just felt.. off. The alarms were going off in my head. Me and my husband decided it was time to go almost as soon as the pastor started speaking about announcements. The Lord will show you where you're meant to be, and that just wasn't our home. I didn't feel the Holy Spirit there like I've felt other places here. Had to try it though! My church is awesome! Love my pastor and family at the assembly.
