I love this church! Pastor Josh is an amazing teacher. He is passionate about Jesus and about leading the church. The other pastors and speakers are also very good. They have amazing child care, children's church, and youth programs. They have life groups so you can get connected with other people in the church. This church encourages your personal relationship with Jesus and does everything they can to help facilitate that. There are men's and women's events as well as events for everyone. It was such a blessing to find this church after my previous church close down. This is the one Protestant Church in downtown Boise that REFUSES to fly the PRIDE flag. I stand with Hill City, President TRUMP, and the BIBLE!!! welcoming members at the church but the seminary was less than subpar. there was no topic that was easy to follow and found that the pastor used more anecdotes than he did scripture which, to me, takes away from the validity of the teaching. out of the half hour sermon, there were 4 verses referenced and 7 stories which were hard to follow. I’m visiting from out of town and after looking at their doctrine online, thought that I would be attending a church that was Biblically based but now feel as though I attended a very poorly arranged TedTalk about making connections & going out into the world to share the Word. it’s hard to preach to people to go out into the world with only a few self reflection questions without providing Scripture to support. just disappointed & hoping that in the future this church can be more Scripture based. My experience with this church has been awesome. Started going in December 2024 . They do such a awesome job it is easy for me to learn through them about the Lord Jesus Christ My Savior . They have given me that confidence I needed to have a stronger relationship with God... Thank you Hills City Church What a great asset to the Treasure Valley I'm so blessed to be a part of this Church family !!! My wife, Nadya, and I flew to Boise to look at house. We randomly picked a church to visit on Sunday before meeting up with our realtor. Happy we did. Beautiful church, enjoyable sermon by Josh. My hunger has grown after this sermon to dig into the Bible. I want to talk with Jesus. Gods word is beautiful. Thank you.
