Becoming part of Cornerstone Baptist Church has been like joining a family. The warmth of the people and our shared commitment to reaching the community with the Gospel is unlike many churches I’ve seen elsewhere. This is not a staff-run church where the ministries are carried out mainly by the leadership. It is a member-led church, where the same people you see on Sunday are often out on Saturday morning, actively reaching the lost. Our faithful and devoted pastor leads by example—he stands at the front, guiding us with conviction. He preaches the Word of God with authority and wants the congregation to know its truth. We serve in a very secular community where the Bible and its values are often seen as foreign or extreme, yet souls are coming to know Christ as their Savior, being born again, and experiencing real life change. We are grateful to be serving and growing here at Cornerstone. Cornerstone Baptist church is a God loving, God fearing, church with a heart for not only for the lost but for the continued spiritual growth and maturity of the already saved. Pastor Courtney Lewis seeks to obey God in service Through ministries reaching the deaf, the Hispanics the inner city children but also makes sure that the church body itself is well fed through ladies and men’s accountability meetings, teen’s and kid’s class, one on one discipleship, bible filled teachings and preachings and so much more! Pastor Lewis preaches the Word and only the Word and the ENTIRE Word. He doesn’t pick and choose, he is not scared to go against today’s culture and ideas of what a church “should” be. He teaches what the Bible says! He also doesn’t preach his ideals he doesn’t use the pulpit for his own agenda or for his own Glory! Everything that is done at Cornerstone Baptist church is aimed to please and obey Jesus Christ. There is also lots of transparency and accountability in this church, something that most churches now a days. God in His infinite wisdom and mercy has allowed my family to be part of this congregation for over a year now and my family has been so blessed in so many different ways! We also have a Christian school! If you are looking for somewhere to hear the Word of God and be edified through old school preaching and teaching and Godly fellowship, consider giving us a visit! God is Good! This congregation leaves incredibly inappropriate flyers in the mail, most recently with “Are you ready to die?” with the image of a funeral on it. As a Christian, life is to be cherished as a gift of God and to use the fact of death to provoke one to come to your congregation is simply wrong. It is 1) of every humans god-given right to free will, to worship and answer life’s questions however they please and 2) to be treated with dignity should they or should they not. Proselytizing should be about sharing God’s love, not disturbing and predatory marketing, shame on you. The Almighty GOD bless and flourish Pastor Courtney Lewis, his wife and family in the mighty name of JESUS. Praise the Lord GOD, oh my soul. Cornerstone is a Gem 💎 ✨️. The neighborhood is blessed to have a Bible preaching,Bible believing church, soul winning church. There are many resources for the members an community to become active in ministry with children, strangers, and resources (books, homeschool). Cornerstone is one of a kind if your looking for solid KJV preaching an teaching stop in this week! The children are very active as well. They really assist in training up a child in the way they should go, so when he is old he will not depart from it!
