What visitors say

I attended Park Community Church (Near North) for about 1.5 years and I am very grateful for this community. This church preaches Christ crucified and does so clearly, faithfully and biblically. The sermons are exceptional — pastors preach the Gospel verse by verse, explaining the Scriptures with clarity, depth and conviction. One of the most powerful sermon themes during my time there was “Humanity’s Return Home,” built on Genesis and Revelation. It was rich, theological and deeply moving. The services are well structured and thoughtfully organized. The worship team gathers every Sunday at 7 AM to prepare, and the music is consistently excellent — heartfelt, skillful and reverent. Week after week, I noticed growth and refinement in every part of their ministry. The evening service at 5:00 PM was also a real blessing. It created space for those who couldn’t attend in the morning and helped build a broader sense of community. The staff, pastors and volunteers serve with joy, humility and professionalism. If you are looking for a Christ-centered, Bible-preaching church with strong teaching, quality worship and a welcoming environment, I highly recommend visiting. I’m deeply thankful to the pastors and the entire team for their dedication and faithfulness. May God richly bless this church. Park Community Church — Near North 1001 N Crosby St, Chicago, IL 60610 Good message. Nice worship. But man did I feel unseen. They said they had deacons to pray with after the service. I stuck around and couldn’t find anyone. Maybe there was one deacon up front and he was already engaged with someone. So was the pastor. I walked around the front of the room just in case and nobody was up there to pray with me. I was told there was a connection desk right outside the service auditorium when I came in. In the sea of people, I couldn’t find it. If you’re visiting a church for the first time, maybe go somewhere else or wait to be invited to come here. I just felt so invisible. As someone new to Chicago and in search of community, the church (not Park Community specifically) has been really disappointing. What’s going on? One of the most powerful sermon themes during my time there was “Humanity’s Return Home,” built on Genesis and Revelation. It was rich, theological and deeply moving. One thing that deeply impressed me was how engaged the congregation is during the sermons. About 90% of the people in the room open their Bibles and take notes throughout the message. It’s rare to see such hunger for the Word and such careful listening. The services are well structured and thoughtfully organized. Park Community Church — Near North 1001 N Crosby St, Chicago, IL 60610 Wonderful church! Preaching is solid, worship is sincere, and people are friendly. The inside of the church building is beautiful and spacious. There is a parking garage available for people to park their cars. The elevator is accessible from inside the parking garage. I went to the Faith and Work Movement Gathering at one of the church's meeting rooms and it was a great experience.
