There have been ongoing issues in the choir that many don’t see. As the only African-American member, I often feel isolated. The church is supposed to be a welcoming space for all. Michelle accused me of abusing the organ, but she has no proof. I had direct communication with the organist, so she can’t know what happened. Michelle wasn’t even there. What’s more, she hasn’t talked to me in person at all. She also didn’t like my last post, and so she’s punishing me for what she did not like to hear. I’m not here to be silent—I had to be the grown-up in this picture. I’m going to send these pictures—please tell me if you think this feels welcoming. And I was wondering—look at the first ones: how different these are. I’m wondering, is this how Lillian felt? This is striking—what’s interesting is the pastor is on the same page. Guess who used to be the pastor’s boss? Lillian. No one sees the wizard thing I used to go to this church. I came back. I'm a member of this church. I pulled in at night. I heard beautiful music in the sanctuary. One guy came up and told him to move it somewhere else. Look like he was having so much fun this place used to be more welcoming when I'm starting to realize since I've been back in public they are so nice and private a different story when the Pastor preach about certain stuff in the Bible, I've been catching it. You can't preach in public about stuff, but in private, you don't do it and another problem don't put politics into preaching it says nothing in the Bible about today about politics don't make politics into preaching. It's not what God wanted Jesus is here! Pastor Seth and Pastor Kyle bring inspirational, relevant messages every week. This is a place for ALL people just as Jesus would want. Love and acceptance preached and practiced here. Come see for yourself. It is a wonderful congregation of people making our world a better place. Everyone's super friendly. I've visited friends there, and they really seem to be a part of the community. Parking in downtown Glen Ellyn been be tricky, even using their lot, so carpool. My wife ,Teresa, and I have found a "second home" at FCCGE. We were looking for an Open and Affirming church and found a new Church Family..
