I grew up here, and I loved every second of it. I was baptized, confirmed and married at this church. We called it home for literally generations. Unfortunately, the leadership just isn’t caring, loving, and respectful anymore. If you aren’t “in the in crowd” you’re literally asked not to come back. I love this place, I love how I found Jesus at a young age, I love what it meant to my family for years and years. I hate what has happened. I hate that I’m leaving this review, and I hate the way things have gone down. There are plenty of churches in the area, and I’d suggest checking out many of them, at least until the current leadership sees the need for a change. If you’re still considering attending, I’d suggest giving the pastor a call and asking about the things that are important to you. I’d also ask about how he himself deals with conflict and conflicting opinions before you decide to spend time in his presence. Pastor Ray, if you’re reading this, please know that we are continually praying that this community of amazing parishioners finds their footing. Pastor Ray’s 20 years of service was amazing and this is absolutely not a reflection on his commitment and dedication to Gods work in the community or his time at CLC. I hope they can turn it around and find Gods voice and leading rather than their own selfish motivations. I joined Christ Lutheran many years ago when i sent my daughter to their preschool. My 3 year old said to me “mommy i love this church “ and i said “so do i honey.” That was 26 years ago. My girls were confirmed there and my eldest daughter was married there. The pastors came to the hospitals when my parents were ill and presided over their funeral services. Christ Lutheran feels like home to me. If you don’t have a church home please join us any Sunday. If you are looking for a wonderful loving preschool sign up for CLEWS. Give your little ones the gift of faith. We all need Jesus in our lives. All should believe in God, blessed beyond measure, this church is amazing.. good people and energy... Great church! Pastor Chuck is excellent. Tons of activities and life at this church. I highly recommend visiting to see for yourself! Wonderful Church and Pastor and follows the Bible.
