What visitors say

This was a phenomenal experience. The Chapel in the Sky is a treasure that is steeped in history. David was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable of both the Temple downstairs as well as the Chapel in the Sky. I loved it!! Musicians were excellent and the venue in downtown Chicago was beautiful. ABBA and Queen are two of my favorites. Unbelievable place, it was my first time visiting the sanctuary and the chapel. It's a pity the service was over when I came. I took a picture of the schedule in case you need it. I was lucky to have a tour to the sky chapel. Magical place! I believe it's not just the building - David definitely shares his admiration and his love for this place. I am stunned. This is my new place of strength and inspiration in Chicago. Thank you to the community and thanks Mrs. Walgreens. As a newly immigrant you do have times when you're very close to giving up, days and places like this help you along the way. I want to finish my review with the words of Psalm that David quoted to me when he showed the main window: Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! With love, your Ukrainian visitor. This review is for the Grace Place homeless services from approx. 2020-23. They were hit-or-miss. There would be free coffee and food and clothing, but sometimes the volunteers or partner organizations were judgmental. There was a legal aid org there to help with guaranteed income applications. I requested help and was rebuffed, possibly due to my race, gender, and overall presentation. This would have been a life-changer, and it's inexcusable that a group came by to offer help, then cherry-pick the homeless people they preferred. Did the free tour with Jerry as the guide and it was great! Great piece of Chicago and Methodist history!
