I love calling Radiant my church home! My first Sunday attending was at the 1 year anniversary of the church back in 2009. I attended the youth group as a teen, and now get to serve in the youth group as a Student Leader! I have had the joy of witnessing first hand the ministry work Radiant has with their middle school and high school students! From summer camps to fall retreats, I can attest that Radiant makes it a priority to have leaders who pour into their students and point them directly back to gospel centered truth. Radiant Students changed my life as a teen, and now getting to walk along side others as I had someone else do for me, priceless! Today, we visited this Church before heading back to Georgia. Amazing church, reminding me a church we have back home. Like it says, the Word of God never changes neither does the environment! I'm happy to see God is working everywhere in the United States & hope it continues to grow there at this church. God bless everyone! I attended this church from the Regal Cinemas days up until 2017. I have many stories, but I will share two to keep my review succinct. While a member here, I came for counseling concerning traumatic flashbacks I was having during intimacy with my husband at the time (due to an assault in college). I was encouraged to bite my lip and just push through the trauma so my husband could “finish” and learn to let it go, a path that caused more harm to my spirit in the end. I was also encouraged to look at what I did to enable the violent assault. In my small group, while suffering with a horrific pregnancy complication that caused me to vomit so much I lost a significant amount of weight and was hospitalized over a dozen times, I was “chastised” for not meeting my husband’s sexual needs. I was told that I could still use my hand by my small group leader. I was beyond appalled and disheartened. I nearly died during my pregnancy, but sure, I needed to make sure my husband was sexually satisfied. I fully recognize that my issues with believers of the abrahamaic mythology exist throughout the whole, and are not limited to this one church. But I would be remiss if I did not point out the harm that was done to myself, and my family, through reckless unbiblical counseling at this particular institute. Compassion, empathy and human decency were in short supply. In the end, you’ll attend this church or you won’t, not based on a review but on your own convictions. In some ways, I’m grateful to this church for making me realize how false its god is. I am grateful to be free of the shackles of western christianity, legalism, fake smiles, constant shame and purity culture, and my only regret is that I did not embrace who I truly am sooner. I am the happiest, freest and most at peace I have ever felt, and I have a community who loves me and supports me in a way no church of supposed jesus followers ever did. Today was our first time attending, and we went to the 9:45am session. The kids’ church immediately won me over. This is a Biblical church—people had their Bibles out, and it felt like a spiritual gathering with purpose, not a theatrical production. I do wish the 9:45am service felt a bit more diverse, but… hmm… okay. Preached directly from the Bible! The entire congregation sang, even the teens. People came to church with notebooks, Bibles, and ready to worship. Needless to say, the entire congregation was engaged.
