I’ve read the negative reviews and felt compelled to share my experience. My family joined this church a couple of years ago after attending on and off for about a year. My son and I were living and working in the Carmel/Westfield area and temporarily apart from our family. The first time I walked in I was welcomed by several members and invited to the BBQ and bluegrass event the following weekend. Can’t turn down free ribs and brisket, right? We have found that this congregation is being fed a healthy dose of the gospel, the church is growing due to new people moving into the area, and babies lots of babies! The congregation is a nice mix of all generations including young families doing what the Lord commanded: be fruitful and multiply. This is the worst PCA church I have been to since 2006. The leadership here (Elders & Deacons) are absolutely pathetic. There is only one real Bible teacher here and he is OT only. The rest have no clue how to handle God's Word. These are men that have stopped following God's word, do what is right in their own eyes, fear the people especially the visitors more than God, and political correctness is their common language. At best, this is a non-denominational church. They allow anyone off the street to teach Bible study here. This church does not have ONE voice, therefore producing bad theology or watered down "I don't want to offend you" nonsense. Look elsewhere!!! Wonderful Biblical teaching and caring community!! Such a blessing! This was our first visit and we loved Christ Community Church! Great preaching, an active, friendly community, and great music. We were told most young people come to the 10:30, but the traditional service was really lovely. We’ll definitely be back! I was unimpressed. The sermons are put together with very little effort and unfortunately it shows. Most of the elders are more consumed with the perceived power they have and less concerned with helping or counseling church members. If you're looking for a real church family or some sense of community, keep looking. You won't find it here.
