Every Blade of Grass Has a Purpose Our family was introduced to Heartland Church through a mutual friend, and from the very first moment we stepped onto this campus, something felt different. I couldn’t put my finger on it right away - but it was real. I’ve visited over 80 churches in my lifetime. Nothing quite prepared me for this. The best way I can describe Heartland is this: every single blade of grass is intentional. Someone thought about it. Someone prayed over it. From the overflowing parking lots every Sunday and every morning during 21 Days of Prayer, to the small group leaders who genuinely want to be there and not because they have to, but because they’re called to be. From programs like God Owns It All that began to rewire how I think, to the sheer volume of people who flood the front in answer to the Lord’s call during baptism and every blade has a purpose. Even the skyrocketing fountain. Even the beautiful green grass. Someone thought about that. And when you stand there and take it all in, the intentionality is almost overwhelming. This is a megachurch where everyone feels mega important. Walking these halls, I’ve never once felt like anyone was checking a box. The people serving aren’t there to fulfill a checklist they’re there because they love people. That agape love, the kind you read about but rarely experience, is woven into every single interaction at Heartland. It’s something my family had simply never felt anywhere else. Being trusted to become a partner of this church has been one of the greatest honors of my life. To stand at those waters and witness my two biological children and our foster daughter be baptized, because they wanted to be, they felt called, to see them empowered in that moment is something I will carry forever. Heartland has made me a better leader. A better father. A better leader of my team. It has given me a vision for my company and my family that I didn’t have before. The church is there for us. They are intentional. They want to serve others. And because of that, we are changed. If you’re looking for a place where you truly belong, where every blade of grass was thought of and every person was made to feel that their life has purpose then Heartland is that place. I’m not just grateful it exists. I’m grateful we were trusted enough to be part of it. I tried several churches before finding my place here. It feels like family when I go. People want to interact and are so kind and helpful. They have lots of small groups to be involved in. There are lots of young people who go here and get invoked. Love all the community projects. Pastor is awesome. Love the music/worship time. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for this house. The family is so welcoming and non-judgemental. There are people from all over from many sides of the spectrum (all of God's children). I have never been to a congregation such as this. You walk in and the happiness and gratefulness is so contagious. Thank you to everyone that has welcomed me with open arms. I am truly grateful to serve and cherish our Lord next to you all. We came from Arizona for a vacation to Indiana to see family. During our vacation in Indiana we lost our family member as they passed away. One of our family members who visited for vacation as well chose this non-denominational church. We absolutely loved it and was so beautiful going for mothers day. The music was amazing and worship was wonderful listening to the prayer. Truly blessed for Heartland Church. I moved here with my kiddos 6 years ago from CA and started my Godly-community journey immediately. My family and I walked into service and knew quickly…this was going to be our church home. The theology, the worship, the message, the leadership and the people…are amazing! Although large, the church feels small and loving! This is our family! Embraced…seen…valued…we cannot say enough just how much Heartland is a light in a world of darkness… Here…I have found God’s purpose for my life and my family is surrounded by a community that is the Godly village we needed to grow our faith and strengthen our walk with Him 🥰
