Felt very comfortable as a first- time attendee compared to other churches that tend to feel pretentious After 1 year at this church, I can truly say it feels like family. Pastor Chris knew my family by name the 2nd week we attended. The most diverse and welcoming congregation in all of Indy. The youth pastor Andrew is incredible. Both pastors’ wives are the friendliest women you’ll ever meet, and are extremely involved. The sermons cover a very wide range of topics, and are scripture-focused. The gospel choir is electric. They are transparent about their finances. The kids ministry is well-staffed and well-organized. Can’t say enough great things. So thankful we found our church home here. The parishioners at The Peoples Church are very friendly, welcoming and kind. I had not been to church in quite some time and had heard good things about this church. It is very well organized in sharing information and each person on staff very informative. The music was mostly contemporary Gospel however being a musician that's not why I attended. I could see it being a bit of a concert for youth in the opening and the turn out was fairly good. I mentioned that the sound in the mix was a bit loud and they were very receptive to my critique in order to improve. I believe there are several different times one can attend through Sunday and they foster a youth group as well of which I really appreciate! I really liked that there were all types of different people in attendance with a common love for God. That's the most important takeaway. Although I was raised differently under other circumstances that followed specific religious doctrine, it was actually really nice to be in a place that was more casual and comfortable to hear the message of our Lord and I am so thankful that children and teens have a place to go and commune. I shall return and praise God. People's Church is wonderful. Pastor Chris preaches that we are family. I truly feel that and I feel the love of others from the congregation. If you dont have a church home you should definitely come check it out. Love our church. We are all like family there. No matter who u are they welcome u with open arms and make u feel right at home. They have a great place for the kids while the adults have church. They always have events for the family and kids on holidays. The pastor and his wife are a great couple and do a great job preaching. Can't praise this church and the congregation enough.
