The fruit of the Spirit is practiced and seen with the christians who worship at the Trader’s Point church of Christ. We show love, joy, peace,forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We strive to adhere to the teaching of Christ in the new testament Christianity . My husband and I have worshipped with this body of christians for 8 years. Very loving group of SCRIPTURAL Christians. They seek daily to get closer to God NOT just on Sundays and Wednesdays. They are extremely welcoming of new visitors, making you feel comfortable as if you were home. They have 2 preachers and 3 Elders for a congregation around the size of 250 people. So far, every lesson I've heard for the past month and a half is supported with Scripture. And I don't mean just taking a single verse either. They look at context of the entire passage. I have become so energetic, buoyant like I'm floating on air, encouraged, strengthened. I actually feel God's presence as we worship. I've not had that feeling in almost 20 years. And they have such a diverse group of people that attend. Black, Brown, & White people all worshipping the 1 true God trying to ensure we get to heaven. There is also a wide range of ages as well. From newborns to people in ther 70's or 80's, they have a varied and great "family" atmosphere. Go to Trader's Point, you will feel the love too. I have been a member of this church family since 2009. As a first-time visitor, I was overwhelmed (in the best way!) by the warm reception and genuine interactions with the members I met. I arrived with just a basic understanding of the Bible, a firm belief in its inspired nature, and a strong desire to know more. I was thrilled to find a place where I could learn more about the Bible, simply presented from the Bible itself, in a way I could directly and immediately apply to my own life. As the years have progressed, I've been incredibly encouraged by the opportunities to grow my faith, serve others, and watch my children flourish as they move through the children's classes. The relationships I've formed here are unique to anything I've ever known. We are all trying to live life God's way, and while there are inevitably challenges and obstacles along the way, what a tremendous blessing to walk alongside this group of Christians. This is an amazing group of Christians seeking truth and pursuing God's will. I have worshipped here since 2008 and have seen many of the members go through challenges, tragedies, etc.... and this congregation is a loving, supportive, and sincere group of people. I am honored to be able to serve in this church family. We are new to the area and have really enjoyed getting to know the congregation at Trader's Point! There are a variety of adult bible studies and children's classes as well as groups that meet throughout the week to study together outside of the regular church services. Very welcoming to visitors!
