I love my church. People are so warm and friendly. God’s love is here for sure. There is something for every age. Pastor Troy and Jennifer at our Baton Rouge campus love the Lord and the congregation. Pastor Steve , our Senior pastor and his wife Jennifer from Mandeville are real also and love God and the people at all the campuses. I love the small groups where you can support and pray for each other, while learning to get closer to Jesus. When I first came to this church I was lost and hopeless. Not sure where my life was going. I felt defeated and felt I had no one to turn to. When I first walked through these doors at the church I was hesitant and didnt know what to expect. I was looking for a reason to keep running from God and leave the church but the church never gave me a reason to leave. They all loved me how I was and accepted my brokenness and was so kind and loving every weekend I came in. As the walls I had built up slowly started coming down I started to make family here. It’s a church who truly cares for the people in it. The Lord brought me here for a reason. This church has helped me find purpose in life and has helped me build a relationship with the Lord. Through the church pointing me toward Jesus I have found freedom. It’s a bible preaching church who has amazing staff, an amazing serve team and amazing attendees who truly care. If you’re looking for a home church and people you can call family this is the right place. Truly grateful to be a part of such an amazing church. As soon as Jennifer and I became a part of Church of the King in 2018, we knew this is where God had called us. From the very beginning, it felt like home. This church is more than a place you attend—it’s a family you belong to. It’s a place where you build real friendships, do life together, and walk through every season with people who care. The family atmosphere is hard to put into words. There is such a tangible sense of God’s presence here. It feels like God Himself is in the middle of every relationship, every conversation, and every moment. Pastor Steve’s messages are powerful and practical. He has an incredible gift of communicating the Bible, making it easy to understand and apply to everyday life. Each message is rooted in Scripture and delivered in a way that challenges you, encourages you, and leaves you feeling equipped to live out your faith beyond Sunday. The worship is powerful, and the heart of the church is centered on helping people know God, find freedom, discover their purpose, and make a difference. Church of the King has deeply impacted our lives, strengthened our faith, and helped us grow closer to God and to others. We are so grateful to be part of what God is doing here and couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home. The Church of the King in Baton Rouge has a wonderful children's ministry, Kings Kids, led by Zoe and others. It teaches children about God through worship, games, and discussions, and has been a blessing to me and my granddaughter. This church is the definition of “come as you are”. The moment you walk in, you feel the Holy Spirit and you meet people that have an abundance of love because they choose every day to walk with Jesus! No matter where you are on your faith journey there is a place for you! The kids, youth and young adult programs are so transformative for young minds! If you are looking for a family church or just a beautiful, accepting christian community, Church of the King could be the vessel that God will use to change your life!
