Received love and support from the members of Midtown campus during my personal trials. They even assisted in getting to a long-term treatment program that saved my life, at no cost to me. I am grateful for the community of Lafayette, Our Saviors church, and of course, Christ Jesus. If I didn’t have a strong bond with the holy trinity before coming to this church - the actions of the congregation would have steered me far away from God. As a minority, a single mother, or a citizen. I do not recommend this church whatsoever. The claims of ‘welcoming’ - it was not like Christ. If you have to say at the sermon that non Caucasian people have made claims of not feeling welcome but they are welcomed here speaks volumes. It is clear that the actions of the congregation SPEAKS LOUDER than what is being preached here. I applied to dedicated my son at this location, I filled out the form, etc. I received a phone call from a member and she kept trying add a male figure to my family being upon stage. I specifically stated in the form that it would be myself and two children. She then asked ‘what about the children’s father’, ‘an uncle’, ‘a grandpa’. I was extremely offended and stated that if wanted to add them onto the stage it would have been on the form and how her questions deterred me from moving forward. She gave then stated that it was the pastor who wanted some type of representation on the stage. The second thing, I had just finished the intro to serve class and filled out my application for membership. The pastor who I stated preached about all being welcomed to this location walks in. He does not greet anyone except for the people he knew. He literally goes and hugs one person into the class and leaves. What kind of SHEPHERD only tends to one sheep? The last incident, two grown women deliberately pushed my 14 year old niece while she was going into the church. Neither said excuse me. If these are the type of people that represent OSC, we do not want to be apart of it EVER! I am grieving for this church. Please have your own views of this location but I did not have a great experience and will NEVER return. Pastor Scott the lead pastor has helped change my life and so many others I strongly recommend this church! Anyone and everyone are welcome here ! I love my Mid Town Church and Family! You are so welcomed here, wonderful Teachers and Pastor. I would definitely recommend OSC Midtown or any of their Campuses to everyone❣ 🤗 My second home since I walked through the doors in 2017. I've made the most very dear friends of my lifetime here. I feel so genuinely loved by the staff. I have learned so much through serving and staying connected through life groups. My life is richer and more fulfilling than ever before.
