What visitors say

If you’re looking for a three-hour production with smoke machines and guilt trips, keep driving. This place is refreshingly down-to-earth. The sermons are punchy, the worship band actually knows their chords, and the community is busy trying to be decent humans rather than judging your outfit. I went to a Bible study and people were actually cracking jokes. Imagine that. Plus, the commute is easy, which is the ultimate blessing. Was in the greater Boston area on Easter Sunday and landed at Grace City Church's 9am service at the Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline. 🤔 It was a wonderful service. Great worship. Solid and Biblically rooted teaching - both intellectually & existentially - from the pulpit. The proof though, was the number of cheeks in seats. The lower bowl of the synagogue was what I like to call "church full". Lots of young folks - singles and couples alike, young families, and a few folks in the 40+ category. Keep up the work, GCC team. It's worth it. Grace City is an absolutely amazing church. Sunday gatherings are a highlight of the week—from the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and genuine friendliness. The people here make you feel right at home instantly. The music is exceptional. The band features incredibly talented artists, and each week brings fresh arrangements and creative mashups of some of the best worship songs. The rotation of vocalists and musicians keeps things dynamic, yet the quality is consistently outstanding. The sermons are relevant, practical, and deeply rooted in Scripture. Every message feels thoughtful, meaningful, and truly applicable to daily life. What stands out even more is how much Grace City does for the community. The church offers numerous outreach opportunities throughout Boston—from supporting those experiencing homelessness to helping at a daycare serving refugee families. If there’s a need, this church steps up with compassion and a willingness to serve. The children’s ministry is also fantastic. The volunteers are engaging, fun, and incredibly caring. Kids are excited to be there each week, and the teachers intentionally create a safe, joyful environment where children feel known and loved. Grace City is filled with people who use their gifts to serve in meaningful ways, and it elevates the entire experience of being part of this community. For anyone seeking a welcoming, Christ-centered church with excellent worship, strong teaching, and a heart for the city, you need to check out Grace City Church. Grace City has been our home for about 4 years now. We came in not knowing anyone and felt so welcome from the start. Everyone was so warm and remembered my daughter’s name. The worship music is amazing and I always feel the Holy Spirit in the space! The children’s programming has expanded and my kids love it there. They even set up a meal train for us when we had our second child. Come to Grace City if you want to experience real community and feel the presence of God! So I want to be completely honest with my review but also not come to bash the church completely. I just hope this helps people who are looking for a church home and a place to belong with In the body of Christ. So the preaching and worship are 10/10 amazing! Pastor Brian is a guy who knows the word and loves the Lord and I appreciate his heart. The BIG downfalls for me are just the overall atmosphere and community. If you come with friends and have a community of people you come with its a wonderful church but if you come unsure, or anxious or feeling lonely this is not necessarily the best fit for you. People come off as very cold and after attending for a month or so my husband and I really hoped that feeling would go away. We really wanted to be all in there and just didnt ever feel we belonged. You can EASILY walk in and out the door and never feel like you belong or are wanted. I served as a greeter one sunday and that just further solidifies my feelings of this. I wanted so hard for my family to fit in a it just didnt happen. And if your a adult out of college, newly Wed or young family this unfortunately may not be the church for you. I truly hate to write this but want to be fully transparent with my review in hopes this can help people find a church that would suit there needs.
