I called several times to get some assistance. A lady answered the phone twice each time she hung up on me because I don't speak English. I feel like that's very rude especially coming from a church. This church is homophobic and unaccepting of all members. If you are seeking a community, love, and acceptance DO NOT ATTEND. Growing up in this church made me seek therapy in my adult life due to all of the trauma this place caused me. This church confuses me. Most people are friendly and nice, but there are times the pastor talks a lot about donating money to the church. I went to this church on Easter Sunday and not one person said, "Happy Easter." The pastor didn't preach about Jesus rising from the dead. Easter is the whole point of Christianity and Catholisim, but no one said anything about it. I don't know what this church believes in. Canaan church is the place where you and your family can receive the true gospel of God. The minister is very well educated and respectful of others. He is very knowledgeable of the word of God, he is Excellent teacher! If you want to learn about the word of God this is the place to be. I use to go to this church when i was young. The teachers i had treated me so bad to the point where i’d cry. I’ve always been a shy kid but they made me feel worse. I don’t know why anyone would treat someone badly especially while i’m a church.
