My husband is a member of the Williston Immanuel United Church, and we held our wedding ceremony and rehearsal there in August 2021. Throughout the planning process and events held at the church, including the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, the church staff and Reverend were extremely helpful and willing to work with us. We were able to have our ceremony and events, while still keeping people as safe as possible during the concerns of the pandemic. Kate and Reverend Reba were available for any questions or concerns and made the time to meet with me to go over the process, making everything go as smooth as was possible. We can't thank Frank enough as well for prepping the spaces for our events and guests, and for taking care of everything during and after the events. We had a beautiful ceremony in which Reverend Reba created a personal and creative message for our marriage, meeting with us in advance to get to know us and our relationship further to make it more meaningful to us and our families. The church itself is a beautiful space and Kate made sure to offer as much space as we needed to make our ceremony and experience perfect. We would highly recommend a wedding, ceremony, or other events take place at Williston Immanuel United Church as the staff and space are more than accommodating for the event needs and wants! A wonderful candlelight meeting is held here Saturday night....with a wonderful sense of community. Church staff very friendly & welcoming, though few of Wayside Kitchen staff not so much so, such as being rather "stingy" with food portions being served & few kitchen play favorites with some regulars that come for supper, which is rather obvious, which needs to change😯 My best to Julie & co for their fierce delivery a piece too all. Friendliest church in Portland.
