What visitors say
I left this church for many reasons. I will return if a new pastor comes in but it seems the new pastor wants to vote to make the pastor not replaceable like they used to do voting every 3 years. I voted against the new pastor when he was trying to come in to replace our old amazing pastor, but in the church email they said the vote for the new pastor was unanimous, which is wrong, untrue and deceptive. So not only does your vote not count but they dont even want to count your vote. They also celebrate halloween and do trunk or treats here, which is going to make Jesus very upset since He cant stand turning when people turn His holy places into dens for wolves or pagan festivals, which theybwill have to face Him about that someday. The worship leaders voice is not good and hard to listen to when the audio mix is not blended and thwy now have him in the womens events so there is no escaping it, unfortunately. When trying to volunteer in that department, since I ran sound at another church, they never got back to me and seemed to not want my help and it always seemed kind of sexist in the sound area at this church. Great church spirit led, fantastic youth groups and many activities for all. Excellent bible study and life groups for all ages. Wonderful pastor and family, new in the last 3 years, great annointed expository preaching. Highly recommend this church. Come as you are you are welcomed and this church is growing. See you soon! I've been looking for a new church home for a while and tried EPAG recently. I was warmly welcomed. I love the size of the church: not too big, not too small. The music was beautiful and so was the sermon! I was getting excited that this may be "it," but then I was dismayed when a gentleman wrapped up the service by saying something along the lines of that men should love their wives (fine) and in turn, women should respect their husbands (... are you for real?). That was a complete turn off for me. It's 2020. Women and men should love and respect each other as EQUALS and the impression I got was the whole "old world" way of thinking (women should "serve" their husbands). Since I decided to visit on a whim, I didn't take a close look at their philosophy and realized that it caters to a more conservative crowd. I doubt LGBT+ are welcome here though I could be wrong... I suggest you review their beliefs listed on their website to see if you agree with them before going as they seem to take a very literal approach to the Bible ("lake of fire" type of speak...). If that's how you roll, then go for it but if you're more progressive/inclusive I'd look elsewhere. They served a lovely breakfast and took the time to get to know me. The members were very kind and friendly. I have been going here for awhile. The worship is good and the preaching is sound and challenges you. They have good children's ministry and youth group. They have some small groups but could use more. There is a little something for everyone to learn, grow, and share in community. Very few churches that I have visited would get such a rave review. Let's start with size. They have two services that are not too big or too small. Their worship is the likes of Hillsong United or Jesus Culture. Very young and relevant but still led by the Spirit. The Pastor is older, but engaging, funny, and a great public speaker. THe service starts out with two or three upbeat songs "warm-up" as the pastor put it. Then the sermon that was engaging, real, and was funny. Then they ask you to stay for at least two songs afterward. The musicians and singers were so anointed, I am a grown man and had tears I was so moved by His presence in the worship. They play about five songs total after so you can pray and worship for awhile. DISCLOSURE: I only visited there once. But I do definitley plan on going again.
