Warm, inviting, spectacular music, loving and caring pastors, lots of small groups to join. Donuts (& sometimes homemade caramel rolls) between services. They have their own campgrounds up north, a preschool daycare, lots of small groups you can join. Lots of churches need to fine-tune their use of technology during worship, and, based on my very limited experience with St. Andrew, this congregation is no exception. I have a church home, but I have attended several Easter services with my mother, including the 11:00 am service on April 17th. The first few minutes of this most recent service were a little odd. The message that days that people would rather forget have been redeemed by our Lord's death and resurrection was poetic and inspiring, but it was very disconcerting to be preached at by a cold and voiceless screen, accompanied by background music that was too loud. Screens should enhance and support a message during a worship service, not be solely responsible for sharing it. Think how much more powerful it would have been if a few members of your congregation - real, fallible flesh-and-blood humans, perhaps of different ages - voiced this message of hope instead. Pastor Lillejord used the screen more effectively during his sermon. I concur with another reviewer that he's a gifted preacher, and this feels like a vibrant and welcoming congregation. Great biblical based worship and preaching. Welcome church environment! Recommendation near entrance have a wall with staff/pastoral pictures. Very nice facility. Funeral fir brother. Nice service too. Loving, warm and welcoming.
