What visitors say

Visited one Sunday, great worship team and sermon. I love the space it is well equipped and met friendly staff. Highly recommended We have been going here for 4.5 years. We love the staff, leaders and pastors of this campus. The congregation has a lot of young attendees, and we have observed this is most likely due to its location (close proximity to a lot of colleges, etc). There are also a lot of families. I encourage you to come and check out more than one service to see if this is a place you can see yourself plugging in to! Amazing local church body, full of Christ followers that truly care about each other, from the lead pastor, all the way down to the people serving anonymously in children’s rooms. Many people groups and different countries represented, each and every time we get together. Let me address some of these reviews, Google does nobody any service by allowing someone to give a one star review of a church, because one time, they encountered temporarily un-shoveled sidewalks, without a review of the actual church service, itself. Others complain that money was spoken about when they visited, again, one visit review where giving to missions (over $100M given the past few years to local and global missions!!!) and to our church by core attendees, to keep our lights on, is criticized?! Show me one church, anywhere, that gives more to charity than River Valley Church. Any complaints about the avoidable urban blight of never finished construction and unoccupied store fronts up and down the street? Also, the one star complaint about the church about people not stopping to help you with your sticker issue when the garage is full of apartment building residents, cars and drivers that don’t go to our church? Google should also strike all these ridiculous, drive by, one star reviews driven by constant political grievances because a local church chooses to support law and order, and wants to find some middle ground between left and right? Also, there is not one “antisemitic” bone in our pastors. Theological diversity is welcome, and if you plug in, some wonderful conversations about the nuances of Christianity, will take place. It’s disappointing that a church located in one of the most expensive parts of Minneapolis can ask the community for financial support yet can’t manage to keep its sidewalks properly cleared. For an organization that relies so heavily on the neighborhood, you’d expect them to take basic responsibility for keeping the area safe and accessible. For reference they are the only building on the street currently with snow and ice on the sidewalks, 24 hours after snow has stopped falling. This church is amazing and the pastor preaches very encouragingly also graceful messages. The volunteers are so passionate about god and so much support. Though I have been visiting this church for the past three weeks, I'm so much loved to hang in there for worship for all the services, especially the worshiping and the drummer guy is so talented. Everyone in this church is humble and youth pastor prayers are heart touching through the holy spirit. Internship students are becoming so grateful like ambassadors of Christ. If you are new to this area or visiting for the first time, This is one of the best churches in the city. This church makes you feel at home right here😍✝️
