What visitors say
Calvary Church is more than just a place of worship—it’s a place where lives are transformed. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel a genuine sense of peace, love, and the presence of God. There’s something special in the atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcomed and at home. The worship experience is truly powerful. The music lifts your spirit, and you can feel the connection as everyone comes together in unity. It’s not just singing—it’s a moment where hearts are aligned, and you can truly encounter God. The messages are impactful, clear, and deeply rooted in the Word. They don’t just inspire you for the moment—they challenge you to grow, to reflect, and to become a better version of yourself. Each service leaves you with something meaningful to carry into your daily life. What truly makes this church stand out is its people. The community is warm, supportive, and full of genuine love. You’re not just another face in the crowd—you are seen, valued, and cared for. It truly feels like a family where everyone is walking together in faith. Whether you’re searching for direction, healing, or simply a closer relationship with God, this is a place where you can find it. Calvary Church is a blessing to the community and to anyone who walks through its doors. A place of faith, hope, and transformation—highly recommended 🙏✨ Overall, good teaching based in scripture, and I really do believe the pastor is an honest and faithful believer devoted to Christ. This is exactly why it saddens me to write this. First negative experience was on pastor Monroe’s 20th anniversary recently. The entire sermon was devoted to him, NOT Christ. I was continuously hoping they’d bring it back to truth of our savior, but it’s just like Paul writing to the church’s, the body seems to be following Monroe as much as Christ. Today, Easter Sunday, as we’re leaving, those serving in the parking lot were careless. I notified a tall bald man—with glasses assigned to I believe what’s the southern exit with three others just standing there—that there’s some choke points blocking the ways up a bit. He just kept waving me away saying “we know, we know, we know.” As someone trying to help, this was just a little off to me. He didn’t know my background—am I believer? First time visitor? Long time member? His demeanor was cold like I was a problem. This is no way to serve. I know it doesn’t sound big, but we should be serving out of a desire to help, not out of self righteousness. I attended the first of 3 "Grace and Truth" Christmas concerts this morning. The music was incredible with representation from the Kids Choir, Student Worship Choir, College Choir, NextGen Choirs, Calvary’s Choir, and numerous solos etc. The Scottish bagpipes along with all the choirs performed a most incredible rendition of Amazing Grace. Thank you Pastor Tim Hathaway and Team! A church among churches that focuses every Sunday on scripture. No themed gimmicks, just honest worship and sound biblical teaching. Looking for a church home to truly grow in your faith and walk with God? This is it. My first experience with church and all my life. Basically I am not a fan of religious but for Christmas Eve I visited this church with my manager and his family. Will listen some music star and some people talked and they prayed and we burned candles. I met read many new people and we talked about many different topics. Basically discharges I believe is was the biggest church in Charlotte and it’s really big inside outside parking with large. I love this price
