We attended this, our local church for the first time. We liked the church and the attending congregation and the pastor. However, I tried to volunteer at the soup kitchen the following morning. I arrived at 9:30am about two hours before lunch was served. What an awful experience! I was basically given the cold shoulder by two men that appeared to be running things there. The man that is in charge there (Gary?) was not in the room at that time. Anyhow I was made to feel like I was intruding in something that was private and for members only! I was there to go to work doing dishes, collecting plates & bowls, washing floors or whatever was needed but I was getting their message that I was not welcome there. I left feeling embarrassed and with very mixed up emotions. I was really hoping that I could get started helping out our new local community by meeting some of the folks that are in need. I guess it wasn't meant to be at this House of God. My Church home! Wonderful place to Worship! Great people, Minster and atmosphere. Try a place doing God’s work!! Best place for new beginnings. All are welcomed and by far the nicest group of people working together to serve. Pastor and members are very welcoming. They serve good food on a Monday
