If your looking for a church of GOD this is not. Endured 20 minutes of their service and head them preach gods word once. Also learned this is a place for LBGQ and like minded individuals. If your seeking the lord this is not it. My child after leaving (mind you she is 9) told me they introduced themselves to the class they were in and were asked if they had any pronouns they went by. Look do what you will with my post just informing others so your not as surprised as I was because there was nothing there that made me feel like the lord was with us there. Cause I was praying!!! Watershed Charlotte is a Church for the sojourner. Wherever you are on your spiritual walk You are welcome in this community. I said, when I left my last church, I would never join another church, but from the first moment I stepped in the building i've been drawn to this community. And for however long I am blessed to be with them I'm grateful to be here. a church for imperfect people trying to figure this whole thing out on this spinning rock. has made me think more about my faith journey these past 6 months than i have in a decade. the cherry on top is how engaged they are in the community. can’t ask for a better spiritual home and people to share that with. it’s unique, which is why we drive from concord to attend and volunteer! Attended a new church Watershed Charlotte today. Let me begin with saying I have been searching for an intimate and smaller church that is dedicated to accept everyone with Grace and Compassion. The praise team was excellent and the people welcoming me as a newcomer were very kind, gentle and loving! Cedric Lundy was the speaker and the man spoke from his heart. I have been inspired because since finding my way back to our one true Shepherd I have endured pain and pray for broken relationships to heal. I just want to keep giving my heart to our God! From giving my life back to the one true king I know with all my heart we are His people , the sheep of His Pasture. 🐑🙏 My family and I attended Watershed Church for the first time and we were instantly sure that we will be back. We’ve been searching for a church home since we moved to Charlotte last year and after our experience yesterday, I feel like we may have found it. Every person we came in contact with was welcoming, kind, helpful, and seemed genuinely committed to making our first-time visit a good one. The sermon was so well done: engaging, conversational, authentic and exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. Our kids absolutely loved the children’s ministry; they made connections, had so much fun, and all 3 of them walked away begging to come back next week. To be able to worship in a place that is not only progressive, but affirming and inclusive to ALL is exactly what we have been searching for and I feel so hopeful that Watershed is it. If you’re looking for a church where you can come as you are and feel not only accepted, but celebrated: then you’ve found it.
