My family and I have been attending this church for well over a year now and absolutely love it. I find myself taking pages of pages of notes and then carrying that book throughout the week to remind me of so many insightful moments related to the word & God‘s goodness. People here treat you like family. And, I’ll be honest, the tasty coffee on my way in the door is definitely what I need to add that extra pump of “let’s do this!” It’s also a huge bonus for my family that they offer a children’s church so that the kids can also experience and learn more about God in a setting tailored to them, while the adults get to focus in themselves We are new to the area and decided to try Destiny Church. We had lined up other churches to try after going there but we never did make it to the others. We felt we found our church on our first visit. My son loves the children's ministry. Everyone is so welcoming but it's not overwhelming. We love it! A true Christian place of worship! Warm people, honest Bible based Teaching! Pastor Terry teaches the whole word, not just the good or the bad. But the whole word of God. If you want to meet Jesus, this is a great place to go. This is gonna be a long one folks... I love it when religious cowards will down talk a church anonymously. How much credibility can you give this person? We've been at Destiny about 5 years. It's far from perfect but what church is unless they only operate as a social club? I reject churches that are seeker sensitive, relativist, into the prosperity movement, the small gods' doctrine, and other false teachings. I wouldn't waste my time attending a church where Jesus doesn't show up each week. Yes, sometimes we try too hard to fit in with the current culture and the campaigns can get a little annoying. But we have a pastor who speaks the truth and proves his sincerity by his life and serving his family. Pastor Terry is open and honest and does not compromise on the Word. If you have a "beef" he'll listen. If you're a coward you'll leave silently and write an undermining review somewhere. If you're a true believer who loves the church, you'll have enough cojones to talk to the man. He's open to criticism and loves to hear your opinion. As far as being Rick Warrenesque? I think not. Listen for yourself! All the sermons are on the website. Destiny is a great place to attend and hear God's message for you. It's also a great place to use your talents serving God. I believe we are living in the days of Matthew 24 and 2nd Thessalonians 2. A great falling away from the truth just before great persecution. But we must be careful we don't reject the church that Jesus loves and calls His bride. I cannot wait until the govt strips away the 501C3 for non-profits. 501C3 has created state-run churches whose leaders are afraid of telling Biblical truth for fear of losing their tax exempt status. Once it's gone we'll know who the true believers are. There won't be a tax benefit from giving so I imagine tithes will suffer. Churches will shrink in size along with revenues. On the positive, preachers will be able to speak the truth once again. At least for a short time before the persecution starts. Megachurches will die off and the persecuted church will once again thrive with a remnant of believers. I know I sound like a religious fruit cake. Only true believers will connect with what I'm saying. Are ya hearin' me? So, I give Destiny 5 stars. The more I get to know my pastor, his wife and family the more I love them and trust them. A wonderful church community. Welcoming, supportive, open and well organized.
