Have you ever prayed to find a church, and a calling was to a church you have been many times before? So you finally give in and attend, then find that the Lord is there and doing mighty works on a small scale. This is the church for everyone. No fancy show here. Only expository sermons from the scriptures and nothing but love from everyone. Leadership is very sound and although human doing an amazing job. They understand the people are the church. "We are the Church" not the buildings walls that surround us. My wife and I found ourselves at this church after others just didn't seem to hit the spot. The best part about FBC Gahanna is the ability of pastor Wally to speak and stay engaging during the sermon. On any given Sunday, the message was theologically solid, biblical, and much more meaningful than you'll find at your average modern protestant church. The church body here is a very genuine and welcoming group of people, and I highly recommend giving this church a chance if you're looking for a place to be each Sunday. Many churches today give a feeling of community without offering quality discipling, and pastor Wally offers very good counseling and biblical perspective while trying to further the knowledge of those he's been called to pastor. His purpose is truly to shepherd, and he takes that role very seriously. Just visited for a Wednesday night Bible study. I really enjoyed it. I wish y'all well. I pray God gives you workers for the harvest. One man plant,one man water, but God gives the increase. Thank you for being so welcoming to a stranger. God bless you all. I prayed about finding a home church when I moved to the area. I felt led to FBC of Gahanna. I began attending the first Sunday in April (2019) and have attended ever since. It is the most friendly, family feel and welcoming, Bible based church I've ever attended. This is truly "my home". It's come as you are. Whether you're in a dress, suit, blue jeans or shorts, all are Welcomed. They have great Sunday school classes for all ages; weekly activities for children and various groups for adults (some that meet weekly, others on a once per month basis). Come join in.... you'll love it here! We have been attending FBC for a few months now and have found the people to be warm and welcoming and the teaching to be biblically sound and relevant. Since coming to Ohio 3 years ago we have struggled to find a place we can call our church home. I am confident that not only will FBC be our new church home but also our new church family. :-)
